David, if I thought the federal government suspected me of committing a crime, there is no way in hell I would talk to anybody representing any branch or any agency of the federal government unless I was forced to in court. And I wouldn’t care if I had committed a crime or not. I’m just not going to do it. I think that’s my right.

They can get a search warrant and find phone records or email or whatever (at least that’s had judicial approval in advance).
