Beto: "EC basically just like slavery"

“This is one of those bad compromises we made at day one in this country,”O'Rourke told the audience. “There are many others we can think of and they are all connected, including the value of some people based on the color of their skin. There is a legacy and a series of consequences that have persisted and remain with us to this day.”
“In this conversation about how we repair the damage, how we make things right, and how we keep from committing the same injustice going forward is squarely connected to the reason that we are all convened here today and that is fixing our democracy,” he continued. “So yes, if we get rid of the Electoral College, we get a little bit closer to one person, one vote in the United States of America.”

That is the most tortured logic from a Irish/Welsh fellow ever uttered.
Since abolishing the EC will NEVER be ratified by two thirds of the states, why does this folly keep coming up?
This deeply flawed skateboarder should stick with the topics that are plausible, or possible.

Let's make sure the most uneducated, least productive, most backward states in the country get the most outsized representation. What could go wrong?

I'm guessing that you haven't traveled much if you think some states are more backward than others.
I'm guessing you have never traveled to Oregon where their backward asses still require you to get full service gasoline. Or Utah where you still can't buy full strength beer at grocery stores. Or Mississippi where the infant mortality rate is 8.6.

Your self loathing is exposed again. When was the last time you wondered around a blue voting major metropolitan area?

You talking about California? I agree. We know what could go wrong. That's why we'll stick with the Electoral College.

Finally, I have cliff Claiborne when I really need him. Is there any difference between ok and ca's life expectancy?

Give New Orleans a whirl. Or Washington DC. Or Seattle. Go to the pike market and hold up 100$ and see how long it takes those cosmopolitans to rip you to shreds.

You stupid dumbass, NO and Seattle are 2 of my faves. I love eating breakfast in those pike'srestaurants.

I'm sorry Wharry. I did it again. You know what you do to me.

WE. AREN'T. A. DEMOCRACY.

WE. ARE. A. REPUBLIC.

The electoral college enforces that. If the EC ever is bypassed, it's time to leave the republic.

I love it. #bornfollowers now perfectly regurgitating that talking point. The Hive pits it out there, count to 3 and.... Joila! Same points here! I've never heard this EC wellspring of patriotism and constitutional fervor until the wingnut media fanned it.

I’m sure they are. That defines you. Stepping past sleeping homeless, watching people beg for change on your way to a 18$ breakfast. Absolutely typical liberal, you are a walking poster boy.

You dont have to step over them if you stay at the edgewater.

Never? Not for the duration of its existence? That’s a hell of a lot of research you’ve done. A few phd’s probably could say that with a straight face but somehow you do.

We've already been down this road, Gomer Pyle. I'll take small town Oklahoma over the shit filled streets of San Francisco every single time.

St. Harry can't afford $18 breakfasts because he gives all of his money to the homeless

Right? He's offended by meals on wheels. His grandmother used meals on wheels.

I did not make that up. He just called me a typical liberal, too. This is why I come here. They could've saved millions with Koko if they'd just come read this.

The whiney dorks on your side of the political spectrum are the ones crying about the Electoral College. If you can't win, change the rules until you can? Lol.

Maybe you dipshits need to come up with some ideas besides hating on folks because of their skin color and screeching about the planet ending in 12 years.

You aren’t getting it. I’m a conservative. That’s why I don’t give money to the homeless. I think they should get homes.

You people are the ones that don’t practice what you preach.

I think the government should give them homes and I vote accordingly
