This article paints a picture which is not so pretty for Cael and PSU wrestling. Repeated complaints for no action may come back to bite Cael. Especially when he removed Carter from NLWC because of his "character issues".

Good on Beau for standing firm with his wife on this. Sexual misconducts are never ok.

PSU or not, it's very disturbing article on a wrestling program.

Very brave of Beau. Would have been easy to just walk away and not say anything.

Putting his name on this hopefully helps change some things even though he is going to be absolutely hated by PSU fans.
Great point. Beau took a lot of shit for it, was retaliated against, burned a lot of bridges and is now starting over in a new place. Would have been much, much easier to stay quiet

Syd is the one who personally knew at least one of the victims. The fact that you're still criticizing Beau's approach and handling of this is something else
That's like your opinion man, just like it's my opinion that he should've been the one up front about it. He undoubtedly had more information on Cstar than his wife. I guarantee his wife told him of her information.

Sexual misconduct with teammates (hopefully not recruits and campers,) physical abuse, theft and intimidation were all known, reported and magic tricked away. Either way, I am not upset at his wife, my tone isn't being conveyed that I just would prefer for Beau to jump out front, be vocal and expose the wrongdoing. He is the one out a $1G, physically and sexually assaulted as well as a witness to the mishandling by Cael and Police. So chill, I don't care that much either way, but I do have my preference.

I just take it that Beau gave PSU every opportunity to handle this through proper channels and finally went public when it was clear they wouldn’t do anything.

Beau came forward with what he knew and what he experienced. He came forward multiple times to multiple people. He came forward to the police. He came forward to his coaches. He came forward to a reporter. He came forward to the public.

Beau is one of Carter's victims. He was victimized several times in several ways. I just think it's generally a crap position to criticize assault victims. You criticized Beau from the beginning and you're still doing it. At least you're consistent I guess.

No offense to the Penn St fans on this board because most have all seemed really cool! With that said, there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell that I am making sure that Bo Bassett and his parents are 💯 aware of this situation!

That’s prolly a shitty thing to do, but what recruiting battle doesn’t get a little dirty! The fact that a news service has published these “alleged” actions, it feels more real than spreading bullshit rumors…

Just my opinion

Feel for the decent Penn st fans, but it appears Cael needs to go if what has been said is true. You would think the school would be on edge considering Penn state athletics past.

I’ve been surprised that there hasn’t been anything said yet. Although they may just be getting all their legal ducks in a row beforehand?

This is just conjecture on my part. Given the timing of Starocci being recently announced as male athlete of the year, it wouldnt surprise me that school admin didn't know about the sexual assault accusations until the article broke.

That’s the damning part for Cael, if Beau actually told him about that stuff.

Who knows, I doubt Cael faces much backlash though.

That's the key question regarding the staff. When did they know and what did they do about it? We've still only heard from one side. This is just the beginning of the story. We'll see where it ends up.

Exactly, Cael’s not dumb enough to implicate himself and nobody is going to throw him under the bus.

I was once literally arrested for a false accusation of CDV. The case was dropped after they found out the accuser was an incredible liar and actually was the one who took a wrench to her head. So my view of all this is to say that I am greatly concerned about the accusations but withhold judgment based on my own personal experience. You never know the truth, and having it in print means nothing to me. I don't know the agendas or the people involved. I trust that eventually the justice system will be able to parse some of the truth. We will never know the whole truth.

That said, I've never defended CS. I was never into his social media, and all of you can check my posts. I also wasn't a fan of Beau's post, and I stand by that. If there really was sexual assault, I support max penalty. None of us want our wives or daughters subjected to that.

Innocent until proven guilty. Lots of accusations with no charges. Some seem simple to charge if they were true. Sending nudes to a minor is easy to prove and would be an immediate arrest. Trevor Bauer says HELLO

Apparently Pennsylvania has a different idea of what a minor is...

Good lord. That’s just not how investigations work. The fact he hasn’t been arrested less than 12 hours after the story was released means absolutely nothing.

There are cases where, based on the circumstances, I am certain that a person is guilty long before the criminal justice systems adjudicates them guilty. Kyle Snyder for example. I was positive after reading the news story that he was guilty of soliciting prostitution. It was obvious what happened and there was no realistic defense.

In other cases, like this one, the surrounding circumstances make me want a more robust investigation before I form an opinion. Based on the amount of smoke and the fact that Starocci is a total jerk, I think the odds are very good that he is guilty of something. What that is and how serious of a crime it is, I have no idea.

Most of these stories are over a year old or longer FYI. These are now coming out because Beau and Syd went to the paper awhile ago and the guy had been working on the story for a few weeks
