Theoretically though FISA is an executive branch power not a general government power, and congress should be eager to check it.
Congress should be eager to do a lot of things but they are to worried about their own personal power.
Ending prohibition was the government giving up power? The history books seem to indicate that the end of prohibition was the government taking power back. Prohibition did nothing but cost the government tax revenue. Nobody actually stopped drinking.
Nor did they in OK before local option. Liquor-by-the-wink thrived ala the old Log Cabin north of Bristow on old 66.....or so I'm told by a friend.......
