Aquaman

It did very little for me. There wasn't very many funny moments, or moments that really made you give a crap. Visuals were nice (except one bad guy). Just a ton of holes.

Saw it today. It is very blah. Definitely things in it that make you shake your head. Lots of holes in it that don't make sense and also very predictable.

Not one of DC's better films. I would wait until it came out on Redbox to watch. Don't spend your $100 paying ticket price and concession stand prices!

You didn't see it. I don't believe you.

It really had a Marvel feel to it. Funny moments. Spectacular special effects. It had what people want and expect in the genre.

Tied into the New 52 storyline written by Geoff Johns.

There's a reason it has already made $500 million in less than a week.

It remains a good thing Zach Snyder is no longer doing these things for Warner Brothers.

I agree on the visuals, disagree on funny moments. It had a few chuckle points, but really fell flat most of the time. I know next to nothing about the comics, maybe it plays better for comic fans. The Marvel movies tend to entertain whether you are a comic guy or not. I think Black Panther is overated, but its still much better than this was.

The funny thing about these stupid comic book movies is ... they are what they are.

Nothing deep. Nothing ground breaking or thought provoking.

I remember Marvel started getting momentum when people leaving the theater said things like, "You know (Guardians of the Galaxy, Ironman, Antman -- fill in the blank) wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be."

People watch this crap these days thinking they're getting Shakespeare.

Sign of the times.

Truth be told, none of them are great. If you understand that going in, you likely won't be disappointed.

My only real criticism of Aquaman is that it took too much of my time (same with any of these comic flicks that go over 2 hours -- that's too much).

Meh, I was entertained. It’s not going to win many awards but I was entertained. And by the way, the new theater on Covell (in Edmond) was AWESOME!

It was a good movie. Entertaining. If you go for entertainment and fun it’s a good movie. If you are a movie snob or have to analyze the flick then you prob won’t like it. Or most other movies

Seems like a low bar. I've seen plenty of movies that had terrible acting/stories that didn't make sense, but good special effects and action scenes. They had their entertaining moments, but I would not consider them to be "good movies".

I guess my definition of "good movie" is a movie that I can watch repeatedly and continue to enjoy it. Some examples:

Die Hard
Pulp Fiction
The Usual Suspects
Jaws
(quite a few others)

On second thought, maybe those qualify as "great movies".

I don't watch any of these until they come on cable or Netflix so I'm way behind. But hey ... I recently watched Infinity War and GOG 2 if anyone wants to discuss those.
