I've never understood the abject hate for Jews.
I can think of several other groups way more deserving of that brand of contempt.

My limited understanding of the history says that out of regular xenophobia in the ancient world that everyone had for other groups metastasized because of the act of charging interest. Christians and Muslims didn’t participate in that and their hatred grew from the wealth that ancient Jews were able to create. That comes from a Middle Easte history professor at Osu that was later fired for banging one of his students.
