As much as I would like to see Trump debate in this, I fully understand why he doesn't. Naturally those that oppose Trump will attack him for this without a single thought but what else is new.

It's not about Trump refusing to debate, who cares if he debates, almost everyone has already made up their mind. It's about the RNC's willingness to let Trump have a "stand in" at the debate to defend him in his absence.
