55 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christian. Franklin was not but had deep respect for Christianity and was famously known to have built a preaching hall in Philadelphia for renowned revivalist George Whitfield.

Jefferson had a curious mind. I've read the Quran, that doesn't mean I'm Islamic.
