Yep.
You love beating a dead horse don't you?
If it's all a reference back to interpretation of BigOSUFan's statement.....
Yep, which is what your assumed proposition was based off originally.
I responded to the original post and context, not to your invented distraction.
lol, how much time do you spend googling for .gifs to put in your posts?
I bet even you could do it.
No need, I don't need to distract at this point.
Getting close to the coming unhinged point...Hey boyJD, maybe you should like some posts tonight.

When someone finds the text where Jesus taught that those who accept Him should murder 'apostates' (or anyone else for that matter), let me know.
Jesus never did say this, however, it didn't stop some from doing exactly that in the name of Jesus. Not to mention the use of other passages in both the New and Old Testaments to justify extremist actions (such as Matthew 10:34).
Again, there are extremists in almost every religion. Those extremists do not define the whole though.
If you can't distinguish between what the religion teaches its followers and what the followers do then there is no point having a discussion with you.
Again, Matthew 10:34 and other passages from both the Old and New Testament that one could claim teaches its followers certain negative principles.
The interpretation given (which is an action by the followers which is unavoidable) is always the key though. And that is true for Christianity as well as Islam and most other religions.
Western Christianity left that behind. Islam is going backwards.
Our policies should not enable the extremists in Islam.
We must continue to recognize that not all Muslims are the problem and not embrace policies that discriminate and/or are harmful to all Muslims.
Yes, Western Christianity left it behind (for the most part, there are still a few extremists). And yes, Islam is going to have to leave its extremist elements behind too. That is why we must continue to support and encourage moderate Islamism.
We must continue to recognize that not all Muslims are the problem and not embrace policies that discriminate and/or are harmful to all Muslims. Our policies should not enable the extremists in Islam.
Very spot on.so we are both for a religious test that only admits moderate Muslims. I'm for that. Have everyone in your family draw a picture of Mohammed as part of their complete vetting process.
so we are both for a religious test that only admits moderate Muslims.
Get back in this thread and lecture us more about these moderate Muslims we should be supporting.
I am not for a religious test at all.
Sooooo how do we know if they are moderate Muslim or orthodox?
Because we asked them and they said so obviously.
Hold them for a day and only let them pray four times, give them a suicide vest and see if they push the button. If not, they are in!
Sooooo how do we know if they are moderate Muslim or orthodox?
You are speaking in terms of immigration, correct?
Sure
In terms of immigration, vetting. But religion should never be the deciding factor (i.e. just because one is a Muslim).
Isn't finding out how they interpret the Koran a religious test?
Did I say we should find this out (in terms of immigration)? Nope.
