Just think what we could do with all that money thats spent on housing the illegal alien criminals, feeding them and giving them free counsel. Hell we might be able to afford all that free stuff the Dims are promising!
68%... legal or illegal non-citizens? The title only says 'non-citizens', which doesn't necessarily make one an illegal.
Maybe we ought to screen everyone who comes into OUR country. Period.
I'm sure a large percentage are illegal but we legally let in people who are incapable of supporting themselves. Why?
If you are a non-citizen, it is either a person here on a K-1 Visa (Fiancée Visa), person on a 2-year legal resident alien with conditions or someone on a 10-year legal resident alien visa without conditions. Any of those people can be deported, per the documents they sign and turn in to move up to the next level. Only someone who has gone through some derivation of those three processes and become an American citizen wouldn't be deported (unless they became a citizen under false pretenses). A tourist and reps of foreign governments would also be in the non-citizen group, but wouldn't account for much a bump in that number.
There is a reason states like CA, WA, NY and others don't generally track this statistic statewide, as I suspect those numbers would be higher.
The vast majority of those people are illegals, period!
