2025 NCAA Tournament

Hendrickson with the surprise pin.
You Dont Say GIF

Unbelievable 4 to 0 and riding time and he stops shooting gives up a leg, rolls and loses the match. Jamison earned that loss. It is hard to be a Cowboy fan for a long time. We have 0 upsets and we have lost by upset twice when we were in control and our wrestlers find a way to screw up. Disgusting.
Listening to you "disgusting" comments is getting old

So tomorrow we're looking at the following [Prediction]

Spratley (7) v. Ramos (2) [Ramos DEC]
Jamison (7) v. Miranda (24) [Jamison MD]
Travis (33) v. Whalen (15) [Travis DEC]
Fish (12) v. Chumbley (20) [Fish DEC]
Amine (8) v. Messenbrink (1) [Messenbrink MD]
Hamiti (3) v . Kennedy (11) [Hamiti MD]
Plott (4) v. Allred (12) [Plott DEC]
Hendrickson (2) v. Trumble (7) [Hendrickson FALL]

I thought that word described that match well. By the way you read that, you did not hear it. I do believe Tagen has a good chance to come back and place. However, that was a horrible 3rd period for him.
Read your whole post - you weren't just talking about Jamison. You're continually criticizing the wrestlers, the coaching staff and the program. It's getting old.

Allred got 2 pins and I think he was losing in both those matches.

It's going to be tough but I think Travis has a real shot at getting on the podium.

Looking at having to beat Whalen (15), Realbuto (10), and Stiles (12)/D'Emilio (13) to get to the 7/8 match.
Then beating either Paniro or Williams to get to the 5/6. (Possible)
Then it'd be either Van Ness or Lovett to get to the 3/4. (Getting pretty unlikely)

I wish I did not use the term disgusting, but we have 17 years of mostly pain especially at Nationals. I hope in the next several years I become a more positive fan, which with our recruiting it is possible. Our wrestlers will need to really jump levels with great coaching for that to happen. Our Coaches have proven already they are great recruiters, but I think they are unproven with development so far.

I get being frustrated by Jamison and Surber but getting mad we aren’t getting upsets seems illogical. Did you really think Teague was going to take out Henson? The only other chance at upsets was 157 and Fish did that.

It is easy to mad about lack of upsets if you ignore the upsets.

Now I’m not super optimistic but this morning is our first real chance to face higher seeds.

So looking at my previous post, it looks like Nebby and OSU are starting to separate themselves a little from Iowa, but Iowa isn't out of it at this stage. Lots of backside to wrestle yet.

Nebby - Of those still on the topside, I think Hardy, Lovett, and Taylor make it to the semis. Of those I only see Hardy getting to the finals. Lovett has SVN in the semis and Taylor has Shapiro.

Iowa - I see Drake, Caliendo, and Buchanan making it to the semis, with Drake making the finals. Caliendo has a tough semi in Peyton Hall, and Buchanan has AJ.

OSU - I think you guys get four into the semis in Fish, Hamiti, Plott, and Wyatt, although I'm not sold on Fish. Of those, I think Wyatt beats an injured Kerk in the semis and becomes a finalist. If Fish were to win this morning, he has Kasak tonight. Hamiti has Haines, who I think wins 4-1. Plott would have CStar this evening.

I see Nebby getting 3 into the SF and one into the F.
I see Iowa getting 3 into the SF and one into the F.
I see OSU getting 4 into the SF and one into the F.

Not much difference unless there are upsets (there will be!!). As usual, it will be the backside that takes second place, but you guys are well positioned to place high on the backside and get those points. To me, 2nd place will be won in the consi semis. I see OSU with three winning consi semis (Troy, Plott, Hamiti) and wrestling for 3rd.

OSU and Iowa in a squeeker for 2nd. Nebby 4th.

If TJ is going to get on the podium he will likely end up having to beat Happel (assuming Hap loses in the 4/5 match up). TJ's had a good year and I've seen improvement; I'm hoping he makes it happen today. I'm not saying this year but in many cases team championships are won on the west side of the brackets.

Losing Surber hurts but if Fish and TT can have a few more things go their way they can easily make up for any lost points from Surber.

Let's go get it done today boys!

You made me double check the schedule and I’m here in Philly haha. Fish may be on Mat 5 but to clarify….in 2 hours and 15 minutes from now!
lol sorry I saw it was posted on the mat list so I decided to go ahead and post it - didn’t mean to freak everyone out - I should have posted “when the session starts - Fish will be on Mat 5” lol wrong mat or they switched it after I looked - first time I looked Spratley wasn’t on the list 🤪
