2025 NCAA Tournament

In our 3rd place picture on the OSU wrestling Twitter/X page, who are the 3 men in pic other than team? Guessing Chad R is in the back left.
If looking at the same photo (from l to r): Dr. Brandon Mason, Trainer Nick Goldstein, Associate AD Tony Petro, Caldwell, Surber, Gilman, Jamison, Spratley, Hamiti, photo bomber (lol)?, Amine, Travis, Fish, Kennedy, Taylor, Plott, Hendrickson, Pearsall.

From WH in his interview last night:

“I’m serving actively right now in the WCAP, world-class athlete program and I’m very honored they let me use the last year of my (college) eligibility on my journey to being a 2028 Olympic champion,” Hendrickson answered a question on his active Air Force duty. “It’s a one-for-one and for each year I’m in the program it is delaying, so that I am still getting those five-years in of operational service back to you guys and serving this great country. I’m in the Air Force right now and I will continue my wrestling career for the next three years.”

RA: “Oklahoma State wrestling and wrestling fans will have to share Wyatt Hendrickson but he will be there in Stillwater with us for the next three years. It’s going to be fun.”

Wyatt is shooting to be the 2028 Olympic champ. We get him in our RTC for our next 3 years! Huge.

I would certainly love to here from someone who placed a bet on Wyatt.
I don't think many made that bet because of Steveson's almost unbelievable reputation. Again, I was proud of Wyatt keeping it close by battling off takedown attempts by Steveson. None of Wyatts attempts was a threat at all until the end. I was stunned by that last shot and his herculean effort to get the takedown and then to drive Gable back to the mat broken. I think Gable' acknowledgement at the medal ceremony was classy and I think after a couple of minutes he realized he had given everything he had and lost, you have to applaud the man who beat you.

I don't know diddly about betting, does that get him $27,500?
If only…

So 100 would be bet a dollar, if you win you win a dollar plus you get your dollar back.

+200 would get you $2 plus your initial $1 back (you’re betting on a pretty big underdog)

+1000 would get you $10 plus your initial $1 back (you’re betting on a HUGE underdog)

-200 means you would have to bet $2 to win $1 (you’re betting on the favorite)

I just scared the dog to death

Football_Goddess: My cats can't figure out what all the fuss is about. I was screaming at my TV screen.

My comment had 13 responses and Football_Goddess' has 14. I take that as an unofficial poll of Dog-Lovers vs. Cat-Lovers. I think it is time for you Dog-Loving wrestling fans to step up to the plate otherwise you are admitting that you love the smell of used cat litter.

Jumping in since @AtownPoke says I've been slacking.

Not much I can add that hasn't already been said but last night was seismic for you guys with what Wyatt and Dean did. Congratulations on a tremendous first tournament under DT.

3 words to describe you guys right now: Ahead of schedule

Maybe 4: Way ahead of schedule
My man!!! Iykyk

I wrote this privately but I'll say this here:

You need to go to Nationals once in your life if you haven't already. This was my first time. The wrestling quality was off the charts. The camaraderie among the fans was incredible. Just a pure love of wrestling. I was sitting next to a Rutgers fan (obviously low IQ right) and another was a coach for Solanco in PA. He has coached several guys at NCAAs. Just great people overall. Even the OSU fans were okay lol. I came away with the truth that we are all in a brotherhood of sorts. Nobody in the outside world understands us but we perfectly understand each other. The finals were boring as all get out but the pomp and pageantry was a great show. It didn't hurt that Trump being there raised the level of awareness of the sport. I am so happy for Dean and Wyatt. Both are true champions. I suspect Wyatt will be in some military ads on TV soon. That was pure Hollywood there. I mean, if it was in a movie, people would call it fake and cheesy but it really happened!!

Absolute cinema! Don’t have to change anything in the script. Can take the movie as it is.

Agreed. I went to the 2006 NCAAs in OKC with my dad. It was incredible. It's sensory overload for a while until you get used to 8 mats in constant action and figure out where to look. That year probably provided the last really electric OSU finals moment when Johnny Hendricks beat Churella from Michigan in controversial fashion and proceeded to get booed by 13,000 people at the Ford Center (Paycom Center, whatever) and cheered by 3,000. God, it was fun!

We wanted to make 2023 in Tulsa but I was in the last semester of grad school. We plan to make it in the next year or two.

Exactly. Getting used to 8 mats in action for three straight hours was draining. Seriously. It's a mental workout.
