I wanted to break down a few stats for whomever thinks that Jamison could potentially lose his spot next year.

He was 21-6 this year with all of his losses being against the top 7 placers at NCAA's.

#1 Mendez L Dec
#4 Composto L Dec Bloodround
#5 Happell (2) L both in SV
#6 Koderhandt L SV
#7 Frost L SV

He had wins against
#2 Hardy at CKLV
And against Alirez (who was a previous National Champ)

His losses were against the top guys at the weight and guys who in my opinion he couldn't just over power with a double leg. He was 1 takedown away from winning all of these matches. If Jamison can become more offensive and develop something other than a double leg this off-season I think he had the other tangibles to be a top place finisher at this weight. Not sure who all moves out next year but he should be very close to the top. He just needs to work on a couple of things offensively.

I'm hopeful as well that he'll become work to become more dynamic. I think he's gotta be seriously disappointed with this year's finish and he'll want to change the things that held him back. I think seeing two teammates become champions and they were the most dynamic offensively will be a wakeup call

Yes, he got beat at this tourney by the guys that got 4th and 6th.

If he stays 41, he’s going to improve even more. His nutrition can still improve some…but it wasn’t the major issue like it was last year.

He is right there as an AA currently with just a tough draw. Next year, on the same trajectory, we’ve got a great kid that’s a point scorer in March…placement point scorer!

Great info. I was a little down on Tagen going forward but overlooked/unknown facts put things back in perspective. Thanks for taking the time to research and post this.

Looking at his bio on UNI website it seems he is done in the same way Surber is done. He redshirted (didn’t make the lineup) in the COVID redshirt year of 2020-21. That means he was still eligible for a traditional redshirt but he never took it. He was the full time starter in 2021-22 but didn’t qualify for the NCAA tournament. Made the tournament in 22-23, 23-24, and 24-25.

Flo has him listed as a JR on there rankings and I thought I heard on one of the broadcast he had another year. Oh well if he's done great one less spot to jump in the rankings.

It doesn’t matter…the tournament is brutal.

Tagen doesn’t need eligibility help. All he needs is that little person on his shoulder that tells him he can do it.

There are two guys in the room with him that have that little person. They’ll give it to him.

Don't know how he'd have more. He competed in the '22, '23, '24, '25 postseasons.

My heart hurt for Tagen. He had Composto and let it slip away. He has all the tools but he's just got to get his head right with creating offense and using his strength to impose his will. Big jump from his first NCAA tourney but there is so much parity at 141. I think he wants to go 149 next yr for several reasons but if he does remains to be seen.
