Will this fly? Can you sue a company for how its product was used by the general public? Even if you whole-heartedly believe the global warming narrative and blame the heat dome for it, it wasn't the drilling for oil that caused it. Its the use of that oil by all the global citizens and corporations. And if you can sue, does this mean that Ford is responsible when someone kills someone in a car accident? What's the difference?
 
Are these companies indirectly at fault? Sure, I don’t think anyone with a semblance of logic and reasoning would dispute that. But trying to prove direct liability for one event seems like a reach.
