“Stop the war games they’re very expensive!”

Anything can be labeled a "waste of money." I don't believe supporting space exploration and seeking to streamline the military in the process is a waste of money. I believe any money we spend here, if spent wisely, is well worth the investment.

Some believe this could save money in the long-term by again, streamlining the system. But sure, further space travel and exploration will cost money. It is worth it in my opinion though.

I just hope you aren't opposing this simply because it is Trump making the proposal.

His own people said no it’s a bad idea lol

Links? Evidence? Proof? Oh you’re just spitballing and have no idea lol. Got it

Naval Space and Warfare Systems Command (which absorbed the old Naval Space Command)

I don’t know enough about the Marines, but they do have some personnel supporting the mission of the USAF Strategic Command in Nebraska.

Strategic Command - joint command (ie, multiple service branches) covering our strategic weapons and space based sensors.

Lol.
Carry on.

“6th military branch, separate but equal”

I've always kind of wondered how a contemporary military would fare in a long conflict where that country's satellites were taken out.

Poorly, probably. Especially if you’re fighting on the other side of the planet and dependent on the technology. You’re looking at possibly losing GPS, surveillance, communications, weather forecasting, etc...or all of the above. Basically, go back to how things had to be done before the space race.

Did you actually read the article you posted? I did, and must have missed the section on space soldiers. It did talk about the need to consolidate satellite management, space lane creation/aggregation, and other real-world space issues beyond GI Joes with lasers and space suits.
You have to realize Clinton bases most of his thoughts on the cartoons he loved during childhood. He even had a board name reflecting that.

You asked for proof and links that there were already assets and possible duplication of programs.

Not my fault you can’t understand it.

Go back to circlejerking and LOLs and whatnot.

So then we need a new military branch for that? Lol what a crock of shit haha

I read an article many years and beers ago that theorized we had weaponized satellites (satellite killers) as early as the early 90s.

It would seem the easiest way to dismantle a satellite would be via something like stuxnet.

Fascinating stuff. My nephew leaves for the AF Academy in July and wants to study computer science.

No, it's a really bad idea according to the accomplished grill cook who lives at home with his parents and pretended to be a "Player Performance Specialist" on Twitter. I'm definitely taking your word for it. I'll email Trump this afternoon.

When Trump puts funding for a mission to Mars ahead of the space station, yeah im opposed to that lol. He’s an idiot, and Mattis even said he’s wrong haha
You're opposed to anything Trump does.

This was not a wise choice of words by the President, that is for sure.

Why is that? The coast guard could have been a division of the US Navy, but instead its a separate but equal armed force. The air force was originally an arm of the Army, but eventually it was determined that it too should be a separate and equal branch of the military.

The thing you are all missing, IMO is that Congress establishes the separate branches of the military by legislation and law.

The President doesn’t just get to do this all by his lonesome. Appropriations and all that.

So are you saying we won't get our own Battlestar Galactica? That's effed up.

The United States Celestial Battleship Trump. Has a nice ring to it.
