You remember libs sh*tting selves over 'covfefe' ?

As an olive branch @Been Jammin the fact that you can see it in a light hearted way and believe the best in all those that responded most likely means you aren't in the unhinged segment of the left, which I've never believed about you anyway. You seem to be the most open minded left leaner on the board.

I've posted this before. IMO, the "unhinged segment of the left" is a small minority. It just seems like they are a huge majority because they are the most vocal and likely to post stupid shit on social media.

Same goes for the conservatives. There really are Trump supporters out there who are over top and ridiculous. Some post on this board. But, it only seems like the majority of Trump supporters are completely devoid of common sense.

I don't think they are as small of a minority as you're giving them credit for. We can all view the unhinged daily in video and print media, and that's just the journalists and TV personalities.

I will agree that what you linked is evidence of what Brad referred to in his OP. Thanks for the link.

All that shows is that there are some over the top idiots among the "unhinged left". Just like there are some on the opposite end of the spectrum. I still don't think it is close to as pervasive as what has been suggested ITT.

Oh the inhumanity!!!!!!!!

To think it was funny/unprofessional makes one a nasty leftist????

No. That nastiness is already in place within the individual. The typo only gave them a reason, yet again, to express it.

Spicer treating it that way was, and we may disagree on this, perfectly played to really turn the screws on those who were taking it seriously, aka, those shitting themselves. To all the non-shitters, all of this was a complete non-issue.

It was obviously a typo....and Spicer ran with it.

What this all really....really....reveals is the degree to which that a segment of the population has emotionally invested in believing, seeing, wishing negative about or for the President.

And it sets them up to be trolled at the drop of a typo.

We definitely disagree on that.

And even if he was trolling. That's problematic to me as well.

I also think there is a segment of the population deeply emotionally invested in believing, seeing, wishing that Trump can do no wrong. That there has not even been the least little failure. That every single tweet and word from his mouth is 4D chess and never some guy getting pissed and tweeting out something without thinking. That even when he has the slightest screw up, he still comes out winning.

Size and extent of those two groups is all pretty subjective in all likelihood. IMO, both ends of the emotionally invested spectrum (pro-Trump and anti-Trump) definitely exist. It's not as if this is a one sided spectrum IMO.

What it really boils down to for me is that there are nutbars and asshats on both ends of the political spectrum and the left focuses on the worst on the right and tries to paint them as representative of the whole....and vice versa....kinda like you did with your title and first post.
