WSOP circuit in Durant

If you get dealt 7d 10d play it. I have no idea why, but that thought popped into my head as I started reading your original post and never went away.
At the final table I raised with 7 10 clubs, got called. Flopped top pair of 10's. Bet the turn and they folded. It was probably around a 1.2 million chip pot. Woot.

Really!!! Whoop whoop. Congrats man! Do you get free entry into the main event in Vegas as well as the prize money
Not into the main event. But I did win a free entry into the WSOP Global Casino Championship. It's a 10k buy in or by winning one of the circuit mains. I guess since this is the first circuit series then I'm the first entrant into the tourny. Woot.

Here is some info for the upcoming one. http://www.wsop.com/news/2019/Apr/10917/2019-GLOBAL-CASINO-CHAMPIONSHIP-SET-FOR-AUGUST.html

Just give the CHOCTAW CASINO its proper due.... wouldn’t want bad juju following you!

great story and glad it worked out...raising on 7 10 clubs was a great bet. When you're winnin' you're winnin'

A funny side story. So I win the tournament and go over to the pay out counter. Obviously I'm the very last person to get paid from the entire week long set of events. I go up and give them my pay out card. The lady pulls out a vacuum sealed bag of 100's. Literally 5 bricks of $50,000 bundles. And hands me over a quarter of a million dollars... I stuff it in my backpack and walk out of the casino and drive home.

So here I am, bleary eyed, decompressing, and nervous as all fvck with a cool quarter mill sitting in my passenger seat as I drive home with the top down at 1am.

Then comes the looks on the bank teller's face when I go there this morning to deposit that cash in my bank account. I quickly get ushered into a private side room for the transaction when I tell them I have a quarter mil in my backpack. I get a few questions from the bank manager but they count it all and give me a deposit slip. It was kind of a Scar Face moment with the money counting machine blurring away.

Bring it to my bank. We will be much more friendly. Congrats again on the win.
The look was more of shock and awe. They were great to work with. Just a bit caught off guard. The bank manager just has to attest that it isn't drug money. I had plenty of evidence to show that.

they almost do the same thing with anything over $10,000. Boy, that has to be a great feeling carrying around a quarter million cash. Didn't the casino do anything about the irs? They are usually the first one with a hand out. Of course, tourney money might be handled a bit differently.

Carrying that much cash was pretty heady and nerve wracking at the same time.

No IRS questions at all. Didn't even give me an option to withhold.

Holy crap dude.

I saw you were st final table and dude folded to your tend and I never looked again until now.

Didn’t realize you had won.

Not gonna lie, I’m nobody to be proud of you, but I’m still kinda proud of you.

Well done my friend!

I guess I gotta stop randomly skimming posts.

You may have gotten lucky, and I’m sure you had to, but you don’t make it that far let alone win the whole thing without being really good.

I’m sure validation from the win is unreal but the quarter mil can’t exactly suck either.

Good on you my friend!!!

Honest question. Do they not have the ability to wire money?

Was wondering the same. Heck, why not write a check?

Seems like it would be easy for a couple of assholes to follow the winner out of the casino, run him off the road on his way home, and grab the cash.

there's not too many guys walking out with a quarter million cash. But you'd think there would be better ways to disburse that kind of money.

When I cashed at the WSOP in Vegas they did give me the option to have cash, check, casino chips, or wire transfer. I'm guessing the WSOP traveling circuit isn't as flexible since they don't have all the technology in the back office.

Way to go Vic. I was in Scotland and could not follow this thread but @Cowguy sent me a message and told me about it. Pulled up an article and read about your win.

Being superstitious I would say you should send me back to Scotland when your in the next big tourney.

Another cool update.

One of my home poker crew just won the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker Seniors Event yesterday at the Hard Rock in Tulsa. Pretty bad ass accomplishment.

His wife also finished 55th and 110th in back to back years in the Seniors WSOP event in Vegas the past 2 years. These are huge fields and might be the most impressive accomplishment.

And one of us a number of years ago won the Oklahoma State HORSE championship.
HORSE is a combination of Holden, Omaha, Razz, Stud, and Stud Eight variants.

We’re going to be the next Hendon Mob.

Got my customized WSOP circuit ring in the mail today.
