Wrestling Photos

If anyone finds a better photo of Trump and Wyatt after the match, please share. I'd like to frame and hang it in my office.

I wonder how many outlets covered Trump at the tournament? Great exposure for wrestling. My wife was actually screaming and jumping up and down when Wyatt got that last takedown. Now she wants to get a photo with him also. :)

On a side note -I have been looking all morning and cannot find out. Did Wyatt get OW? Never mind. I just saw that he did. Well deserved!!

He did not. Strocci was OW. Wyatt won the season award for most dominant.

OW should be a tournament award and not a career achievement award, but it is what it is
I just realized that. Seems pretty silly to not give it to a guy who pinned 3 guys and beat a NCAA champ in the semis and a 2 time champ and olympic gold medalist in the finals the OW. They must have voted before the finals were over.

My wife ask me about this moment last night and I don't know the answer. Is it against the rules to talk to the other wrestler before the match? I've only been watching wrestling for 46 years but I have never seen a wrestler say anything to his opponent before the match. This isn't Heavyweight boxing where they have been known to come to blows before that match even begins. Anyway, it seemed very wrong to me and a bad precedent.

Her tweets have been mentioned here due to her hyper-sensitivity to OSU fans almost being fanatical and hurting her feelings. She also tweets the other side that shows where that sensitivity comes from. She is a fanatical supporter of her husband. If it were me, this tweet (or a hand written note rather than airing all high and low emotions on X) would mean more than the award.

Just a passionate woman supporting her husband. I ain't going down this road any further.

No, it’s not normal or okay. I could actually be a penalty.

I told my wife, he crossed the line (where he puts his foot, not a metaphor) to intimidate. It pissed me off, which I’m sure it helped give Wyatt some BOLD.

It was clearly uncalled for, but in hindsight it really added to the moment. I bet it gave Wyatt some extra fire as well.

I remember before his WWE/NFL side quest Gable was THE showman of college wrestling, doing stuff like that and folks ate it up. So I'm not going to read too much into it.
