Called for Cruz too.

This election season is, frankly, amazing.

Does that mean she's lost 6 of the last 7 and been out raised the last 3 months??

He doesn't have a chance because the Dem. fix is in just like the Rep. fix is in; different rules/game for each side, but still same results.
I hope you're right. I'd prefer more of the same than what that batshit crazy man is proposing.

Think this is how things could shake out...hildabeast wins, then is indicted and steps down with the promise of giving Chelsea some type of meaningful government position so she can get groomed for something else. This throws the convention in an uproar and the super delegates are all too happy to pick Biden as the nominee.

No way Bernie the Bolshevik get the nominee....he would get slaughtered by about anyone on the slate. Save Pee Wee Hermann if he were running.

Or perhaps Hildebitch wins and selects Julian Castro as her VP. Then they are elected and she is indicted before being sworn in/or after---because she would likely appoint Cheryl Mills as AG who is one of her inner circle and wouldn't indict and may not prosecute. She is forced to resign/gets impeached and Castro becomes President which is worse than Hildebitch.

Re: Chelsea. Sort of like her do nothing NBC job which paid her $600,000?

Its all rigged so who cares unless Hillary has some blow back from the e-mail scandal. Hillary will get the nod they will not in any shape or form let Bernie advance.

I really think Cruz is going to get the nomination through a contested convention. Will the Donald go 3rd party when that happens?

The ballot access petition deadline will have passed in a number of states by the time the convention takes place. Some states also have a provision that if you run for the nomination of one of the major parties and lose the nom you can't get on the ballot as a third party. Maybe called a sore loser provision?

If Cruz wins a contested convention, then he has already been told who his VP will be and has acquiesced to some of the establishment goons wishes, post election. Just can't see the guy doing that though.

Not sure about that. IF, they follow the current rules, the nominee has to be Trump or Cruz. Of course they could change the rules, specifically Rule 40(b).

That rule, which was put in specifically by Romney's people in 2012, could possibly be changed prior to the convention. In addition, I would note that the rule does NOT preclude someone (e.g. Kasich) from gaining the nomination if they haven't gotten > 50% of the delegates from at least 8 states during the primaries/caucuses, as is popularly believed. Rule 40(b) merely makes it fairly unlikely. But, as we have already seen, unlikely things are happening more often during this election season.

What the rule says is that the prospective nominee must have certified support of > 50% of the seated delegates from at least 8 states at least 1 hour prior to his/her name being entered into nomination. I could see this possibly happening for Kasich or someone else if Trump or Cruz fail to win through the 2nd ballot.

Here's the rule:

b) Each candidate for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states, severally, prior to the presentation of the name of that candidate for nomination.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of these rules or any rule of the House of Representatives, to demonstrate the support required of this paragraph a certificate evidencing the affirmative written support of the required number of permanently seated delegates from each of the eight (8) or more states shall have been submitted to the secretary of the convention not later than one (1) hour prior to the placing of the names of candidates for nomination pursuant to this rule and the established order of business.

I don't believe the nominee has to name his VP choice until after being voted in as the nominee. If so, Cruz/Trump could simply ignore any "deals" they make to the RNC and their band of scumbags. Or better yet, pick the other to be their VP. That would send the establishment RINOs and establishment conservatives into raging fits.

I believe that is just for 1st ballot and was put in to keep Rand Paul from making a floor speech during the nomination process.

No such thing as an establishment conservative.
