It's just how blind so many in the Clinton campaign, the DNC and the major news networks were to this outcome. I, like many, thought of Trump as nothing more than a bloated reality TV host with bad hair and a dumb hat. Then he wins Florida. And Virginia. And Ohio. There was a huge population of folks who simply felt disenfranchised and left behind, and Trump rallied them to his cause in what will doubtless be thought of as the greatest political upset in American political history. And almost nobody saw it coming. It really is amazing what he's done.

I did not vote for Trump. I am not a fan of his. But he's the President of the United States of America and I will give him a chance to lead. Hope he doesn't screw the whole thing up. People wanted something different and they got it. We'll see what happens from here.

It's actually more to do with how terrible Hillary was. Trumps vote total was less than both Romney and McCain.

I definitely think more people voted for Trump because they didn't like Clinton, not simply because they liked Trump. Americans are an emotional bunch.

That's only part of the story. Battleground states of FL, OH, MI, PA, and NC had flat or higher turnout. Trump turned some Obama supporters and rallied others to get out in those states.

Further, just in Cali alone Trump got ~1.3 million fewer votes than Romney.

They weren't nearly as in shock as they made out to be.

They were standing her up. They were oversampling in polls. They were minimizing her flaws and carrying her water.

They just got smacked by the reality they refused to ignore. The truth just set in.
They knew. There is a reason they cancelled the fireworks show. There is also a reason they came hard after the race issue in the end.

Cliff's notes: bitch-slap!:D

Could you elaborate? I honestly have no idea how Trump could make things worse than they are.
Generally not taking his position as president seriously. I believe he lacks the demeanor to make sound decisions when it comes to international policy. He'll have advisers, yes. But will he listen to them?

Since he had a plan that change our in the last few weeks... All he has to do is execute it.... Or at least attempt to. Personally I am impressed with it an hope that he accomplishes a lot of it.

Some of it will be almost impossible to get through such as term limits and bans on lobbying for former govt workers and the like. In any case it will be interesting to see the effort

And vote total comparison of states showed that Trumps numbers would have elected him against Obama in 2012.

So, it can't just be attributed to "bad" Hillary. Trump's team turned them out where he needed to.

Maybe the RNC/Reince team turned them out; not sure he had that great a ground game?

This voter did. I don't want Trump to be president but I was borderline terrified of Hillary becoming president.

I also voted against radical leftist SCOTUS nominees.

This times a 1000. Not a huge Trumpet, but absolutely petrified of Hillary. And terrified she would appoint Obama to the Supreme Court...
