GMAFB….We had Boone Weinberg! And another one is not going to come through the door! No key “decisions” were made to sustain us we just had his money. And hell some of the decisions we made to invest Boone’s money we’re terrible and we lost millions.

Sweet Lou thinks Weinberg and Schram will be content with being at the top of a non Blueblood conference for job security. Boones money will run dry soon and then it will come down to winning with little resources and making quick key riverboat gambling decisions (two of which will be hiring a new football and basketball coach) And these two are not capable of making them. Need to land another Boone or it’s return to Pat Jones Ball!

This is why there was absolutely O need to rush into getting Houston, Cincinnati, UCF, and BYU. There was absolutely 0 foresight in that decision and it's going to haunt OSU for many, many years to come.

The Media Rights for OU and Texas were going to keep them in the Conference long enough to let the PAC 12 explode, then instead of getting the 4 teams we got, we could have gotten Oregon, Washington, the Arizona schools, Colorado, Stanford, Cal, etc... instead.

OSU was going to be financially and competitively viable well long enough to let this best-case scenario happen, and there was a 100% that the next wave was going to hit before OU and Texas left.

If we had not been so hasty in putting the new members in, we would likely be looking at adding Oregon, Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, and Colorado. Or any combination of possibly Utah or Cal in place of Colorado.

Also, in our haste to hurry and add Houston, BYU, Cincinnati and UCF, we just legitimized some huge markets that might be more attractive than Stillwater when looking long picture at things, so we created 4 more teams to compete within the game of musical chairs. It's very unfortunate that these things weren't foreseen and handled properly, but it is what it is at this point, which is a gigantic cluster that, instead of getting ahead of, OSU, has made decisions that are piling on.

I've yet to hear a logical reason as to how adding those schools is of benefit to OSU, in lieu of the fact that realignment was far from over and the Powers to be surely had to know that. Surely the powers to be at OSU had to know that the PAC and ACC weren't going to stay in their current form and that OSU"s best offer was ahead of them.

Also, by adding those schools, if OSU, Tech, Baylor, and TCU want to go to the PAC, the Big 12 is still a thing and so now we are dealing with exit fees. If we had just stayed patient, in the same scenario, the Conference wouldn't have existed and thus it would have been much less messy. The next thing Weinberg will do is support a long term TV deal with these non blueblood zombie 12 schools and then we will really be on the hook!
