The most transparent administration in history strikes again. We paid $400,000,000 cash to gain the release of 4 hostages in Iran. No idea if Secretary Kerry thanked them for taking these people hostage in the first place, but it wouldn't be surprising.

With the way he is campaigning wide open for Hildebitch you can bet he will have his hand up her ass throughout her presidency. All the more reason she should not be elected.

It's amazing! The ultimate convergence of coincidences just happened to occur just coincidental with the rest of the coincidences. Damn, I guess the next whopper will be the freakin' ATM was broken and we just had to send foreign currency in a cargo plane; never mind the fact that sending dollars is illegal. Gawd, the ridiculous horse-shit from this bunch is approaching "scary" because they don't care!

Just so I understand ---- you all would feel better if the freeing of these hostages had NOT been bundled into the larger negotiations? Just want to understand your position here...

What all did we get for $400 million?

My personal opinion is that we shouldn't negotiate with Iran for anything.

If you're stupid enough to enter the boundaries of the world's foremost sponsor of terrorism, you're on your own.

I think it was a bit of a coincidence more than a bribe. A smarter commander would have handled it better, but he doesn't have to be smart about anything. It was a bad deal with iran in every way and this just shows the entire lame ass incompetence this whole administration has. I do think that iran getting that money did influence the timing of this big mess. And, unfortunately, there will be unintended consequences to be paid in the future.

If there is nothing illegal or shady about this transaction ask yourself this.

Why was it necessary to secretly fly to Europe, convert 400 million US cash into European currency and then secretly, in the middle of the night, fly it to Iran?

If this was legitimate why not just do a normal country to country bank transfer? Why is Iran telling it's people it was ransom?

These people knew they were doing wrong, their actions prove it.

I don't understand why someone who seems reasonably intelligent, like davidallen, can't support liberal ideas without justifying all the obvious ethical short comings of this President and his administration.

The most disturbing part to me is not paying ransom to a country like Iran is that we paid in unmarked European currency.

Exactly how Iran funnels money to Hamas and other terrorists. We did their money laundering for them.

You did read the article right? Your questions are answered there...

Settlement of one of the largest remaining claims outstanding at the Iran-US Claims Tribunal in the Hague - one of the last vestiges of the 1979 hostage crisis.

And, as a bonus, we continue to appease a terrorism supporting regime that continues to give the finger to the UN on missile restrictions and a country that continues to seek expansion of its nuclear program to include nuclear weapons.

If only they had $400,000,000 plus in cash in order to finance these goals. Oh! Praise Allah! Now they do!

Well hells bells they should have taken that money and applied it to something meaningful like fixing that pesky man made global warming thing or paying off all those poor college kids loans or shoot why not get started on that reparations thing, and solve all of our race relation problems.

Here’s The Iranian Video Of “Hostages for Pallets of Money” CNN and Washington Post Claim Doesn’t Exist…

Posted on August 5, 2016 by sundance

This is a great example of the current state, and competence, of American Journalism. Worse yet, this example shows the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, didn’t even know what’s going on, and Vice-Presidential Candidate Tim Kaine also joins the crew of the clueless.

CNN and The Washington Post are both making an absurd attack Donald Trump story out of the most simple and easy to prove claim.

iran-cash-1.jpg

Donald Trump said there was video (yes, that’s a screen grab of the video above), put out by Iran, showing the United States sending pallets of cash in exchange for U.S. hostages.

Trump stated the Iranian’s were using the video to “embarrass the President“. The Washington Post and CNN jumped on the Trump statement and immediately decried it as ridiculous and set out to prove the claim false.

Here’s the video, and you can see the pallets of cash at 11:00 (prompted):

You really should read the Jenna Johnson and Tom Bell article to see the scope of their shark jumping, and also fathom the insufferable inanity of our own government not to know immediately that Iran had indeed produced a full length feature documentary, airing on state run tv, showing exactly what Donald Trump said the Iranian’s aired:

wonder what the rodent-in-chief will request as a mahr for his daughters when they get married? My guess is at least 4 goats each, but that is pure conjecture.

He/they lied once again and only embolden our enemies! Someone with a lot of money should start the Annual Neville Chamberlain Award, and give it to the most incompetent leader and liar in the world.

Trump, for all his faults, would absolutely never do this.

It's $400 million we should have kept for all of their BS, starting with the hostages.

No shit. $400,000,000 we owe you? What a coincidence! That's the annual yearly rental fee that we charge other countries when they take over our embassy!

No wonder they wipe their feet on us. We just lay there like a doormat and let it happen.

How many college scholarships (or trade school scholarships) for Americans could that $400 million (of taxpayer money) have provided?

This is why Trump's nationalist message is resonating.

This election is entirely about nationalism vs globalism --- nearly all aspects of our society are now controlled by globalist forces. (And an entire generation of American children have been taught in schools and entertainment to want globalism)

Trump is almost certain to be the the last opportunity for a nationalist American president of all time.

Obama was our first truly globalist president.

Come on, David.... Since when should we care about what we might or might not owe Iran? Should have let it filter through the courts. Why the urgency now? (pretty sure I know the answer to that)

Do we or do we not negotiate with terrorists?

I get you don't like it, but normalizing relations with Iran is happening. All this tin foil hat conjecture is just silly. It is what it is...
