some of you Cowboy baseball fans may remember him. He played for Creighton and pitched against the Cowboys and I believe it was in regional play. Pretty cool story for him. Now pitching for Oakland and made his pitching debut Friday....here is a quick blurp. If I remember correctly, he actually did ok against the Cowboys but Cowboys ended up winning. And not a bad start in the bigs for him. I believe it was the Arkansas regional back in 2007 where they faced him...
"Oakland’s Pat Venditte on Friday became the first pitcher in 20 years to throw with both arms in the same game.
Venditte entered the game to start the eighth for his major league debut and became the first pitcher since Greg A. Harris with Montreal on Sept. 28, 1995, to throw with both arms in the same game. He was called up Friday from Triple-A Nashville in his eighth minor league season. The Fenway Park organist played Joni Mitchell’s, “Both Sides, Now,” as Venditte made his way to the mound. He started throwing warmup pitches with his right hand then switched to his left to face lefty Brock Holt, who grounded out to first. In two innings, Venditte allowed one hit and had one strikeout."
