We do it hourly. In my case, I get 16 hours per month. Sick is 12 hours monthly.So, is it more common currently for vacation time to be accrued hourly or to just give a flat number of days?
Unlimited vacay is a scam, in my opinion.We just unlimited vacation beginning in 2018. Sounds great until you consider that it's really just a way for the company not to owe employees any vacation if/when they get let go. Most companies that have gone this route have seen employees take fewer days per year than before the policy.
Some of the other policies posted above, it makes me wonder if your companies even want you to work at all.

I would like something like this, even at the expense of a few traditional vacation days. Unfortunately, my software and engineering oriented organization is odd man out in a larger production oriented organization, and upper management signed a blanket policy nixing anything not a traditional 9 to 5-er.If we choose the alternate work schedule, we get every other Friday off.
