Vegas mafia really cornered him with that contract. That is my understanding. And not just certain coaching positions, any full time job.

And that might be how you make the math work on Dunn’s buyout, or at least close the gap. We are saving money on Mason’s contract due to Auburn. Maybe we should get the best fired coaches and let opponents pay 80% of their salary for us. As the obvious NIL and budget poor we are, not a bad plan. 😂Okay, let’s agree w Arroyo that we’ll make him the OC for $100k per two years. Arroyo still takes home $2.3MM. What am I missing ?
It negates the restI don’t think people care too much about 2-5 after reading #1. Kind of makes the rest irrelevant.
The problems are obvious. And those 3 getting together everyday to do a dog and pony show dancing around the unpleasantness of bringing in new blood is not reassuring. It actually worries me that the ineptitude isn’t limited to Gundy…..
Most likely. We don’t know the real reason for the meetings do we? It could be a simple as Gundy has been given some actions items and this is a daily touch point to keep him accountable. .
Too me this is a fireable offense . You talked to your employee once about his communication with employees and he didn’t improve them. It appears he’s gotten worse and more stubborn. I think your could challenge the buyout.Do we have the money for buyouts? We could not afford to offer Knowles $300K to $800K more per year out of the gate.
Not being a smart butt, but where does the cash come from? And many are threatening to pull tickets. I bought tickets thru 0-10-1 and donated to support the entire athletic department and to have the ability to regroup another day. It was not a vote of confidence buying tickets. Pull the plug and it gets harder to buy staff out. Fans threatening hurts, now is the time to lean in if you want them to have the cash for buyouts. Does anyone doubt if a white knight drives down to Chad’s office and writes the check to buyout Dunn’s contract he says no?
Goods news is all staff contracts are up next year but Dunn’s has one more year. Looking at decreasing support they may feel financially they have to wait one more year.
That’s true. If Shrum is involved in those meetings then hopefully they can at least somewhat hold Gundy’s feet to the fire.We don’t know the real reason for the meetings do we? It could be a simple as Gundy has been given some actions items and this is a daily touch point to keep him accountable. .

Maybe Chad knows the whole story and that makes things not so obvious?Am I the only one who thinks it pathetic Chad trying to sit and figure out daily the issues with Gundy? Like it isn’t massively obvious at this point.
What on earth would the whole story be? It’s already out there the same problem of aloofness and communication are the huge contributors. The coaches lost the team. Not much else to sayMaybe Chad knows the whole story and that makes things not so obvious?
Thanks for bringing this forward. What I am going to say is not directed at you.
Without anything happening around #1, items 2-6 means dick.
Fair enough and duly noted.
Yes! On the same page as you sirKudos to Benson for saying something.
Odd that this didn’t come from Gundy’s Twitter account (whether he authored it or someone in Comms).

Interesting a player had to speak to the fan base instead of the people we’re paying to run OUR PROGRAM!🤦♂️Kudos to Benson for saying something.

Some NIL probably freed up….good marketing.Well I have a new favorite player.
If this is remotely true, then you're saying we have a 3 yr old coach that has to be checked on daily to make sure he's doing his $7 mil job? Really? We don’t know the real reason for the meetings do we? It could be a simple as Gundy has been given some actions items and this is a daily touch point to keep him accountable. .
Kudos to Benson for saying something.

Maybe Gundy WANTS to be fired.Right. If all is as stated in this post, this is where Mike G has completely lost the whole football program and just has to resign. Will/would he? I don't know. Is it as bad as you posited? I doubt it, but on the surface, it appears so. At least a new coach can sell hope. Gundy can't anymore.
I could have phrased things more clearly. I agree Benson’s tweet is genuine. I was talking about how it’s odd that we’ve heard radio silence from Gundy’s account. I’m pretty sure he almost never tweets things himself via that account, hence mentioning the Comms team. IF Gundy/they were to even say something.Nothing about the tweet makes me think it was authored by anyone but a current player.
It's genuine.
Sounds like a grown man talking.Well I have a new favorite player.
Probably the CEO wants daily updates and how things are progressing. I’m sure the President’s office is being lit up by donors and possibly athlete parents over these issues. I’m sure the Regents want to know what is happening too.If this is remotely true, then you're saying we have a 3 yr old coach that has to be checked on daily to make sure he's doing his $7 mil job? Really?
Deer lowered! Thats worse than being a narcissistic introvert with no friends.

Regardless, it’s good to see a current player say something positive.
And Ollie MF Gordon looks like he’s staying loyal and true. You love to see it. 🤠
Likely best for HCMG to avoid stepping on more rakes right now. You're right. If you expect to hear anything at all from Mike Gundy right now, I'm sorry but it ain't happening, even from whoever manages with Twitter account.
It was a depressing update. Maybe the worse thing for me was the team collapsed in the last half of the season including the humiliating loss to K-State, the offense sucks due in large part to not having a back-up quarterback and a rushing offense that averaged 2 yards a carry for the season, there is a wave of departures before the bowl game, but the powers that be didn't think something might be wrong until the second wave of departures? What the hell have they been watching the last two months?I'm not going to lie, the reactions have surprised me here. Other than continuing to say no coaching staff changes, I thought it was a fairly positive update all things considered?

I think his limited availability to the press is to protect his alligator mouth from overloading his little ass.Likely best for HCMG to avoid stepping on more rakes right now. You're right.
