Never really thought about buying a Tesla, mainly because they do not fit the utility I need and I couldn't justify the expense for a vehicle that didn't. If the prices fall far enough I might just buy one to run errands in. Good little car for running around town.

Elon is over a barrel here. His once faithful crew of leftist EV devotees are bailing on him and molotoving his dealerships, and his conservative supporters by and large want to keep their ICE vehicle preferences. I love Elon, but I just bought a gas guzzling Bronco.

People don't understand why Elon has joined Trump and is working to reform government. If we look at everything Elon has done and listen closely to what he says everything is all about one thing and one thing alone. It's all about getting to Mars.
The US must be prosperous enough to comfortably afford to provide funding for both space exploration and missions to mars. Exposing fraud, waste and abuse along with creating government efficiency is a way for him to help this country to become more prosperous, which in turn makes it easier to fund missions to Mars.
Tesla is nothing more than a vehicle to pay for funding of the research needed to develop technology needed for Mars missions. Same with Space X, robots and even the technology to help people paralyzed.
Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand Elon is looking for government to fund his obsession but on other there is no doubt his efforts would bring about a huge leap forward for the entire world. I'm leaning towards all of this being a good thing.

Going to be hard for the left to destroy Tesla and Elon with technology breakthroughs like this.

A big Bronco? I thought even those have a relatively small fuel efficient engine. I switched from an ‘07 GT to a ‘22 Bronco Sport a couple years ago and the fuel economy kicks ass. GT is still in the garage as a restoration project someday.

Love the Bronco Sport. It’s like having a golf cart that you can drive on the interstate in bad weather. And it even has a bottle opener inside the back door.

Yes, a 2024 Bronco Wildtrak with almost all the bells and whistles except keypad entry. Dealers have some great incentives right now. I got $3k off from Ford, and another $5,500 of from the dealer. Add $12k for a trade and it came out to about $49K. Not that long ago, dealers were adding up to $15k to the sticker price, now a lot of them are just sitting.

Absolutely love the Bronco Sport. You can find some YouTube video where people have taken the Bronco Sport Badlands offroad and they do a really nice job on moderate obstacles, and the stock Sport Badlands regularly outperformed modified Subarus. Get a 2 inch lift for these and maybe some skid plating and you're looking at being able to navigate some pretty advanced terrain! The shorter wheel base adds some capability to the off-roading, as well.

Hell the people i saw arrested on videos all drove subarus and korean cars. I know some high profile people gave up their tesla to make a point. They are such hypocrates, one house rep bought a 6.2l tahoe while talking out of the other side of his mouth.

Great info. Honestly, the closest I’ll ever come to off-roading is the dirt trail at my friend’s deer camp (paved with “toxic” waste dirt from oil well sites).

Friend of mine rented a jeep rubicon last month to drive his son in a Mardi Gras parade. I rode shotgun helping to sort and separate beads/throws. One of the least comfortable rides I’ve ever experienced, and we never exceeded about 5-10 mph.

He’ll be fine, trust me

I never said he wouldn't be. Tesla, however...
Tesla just developed a battery that takes minutes to fully charge and supposedly provides a range over 700 miles. If that's true they have overcome the majority of the negatives of EV ownership. Now if they can develop a truck that can pull at a minimum of 7500lbs without refueling for about 400 miles even I would look into buying one.

The thing to watch with Tesla is whether or not the Trump administration eliminates the EPA guidelines on the required % of EV sales and whether credits for those sales are transferable. Tesla makes a sizeable portion of its profit from the transferring of its credits to other manufacturers who have been unable to meet the EPA's EV requirements and thus 'get legal' by buying credits from Tesla.

At least someone is. Dems could have done this 4 years ago, and they would have controlled the scalpel. They chose to expand government (drastically) instead and so the scalpel went to Trump. As the wise Obama once said, "elections have consequences."

We are damn lucky we have granted Elon billions of dollars to develop all the technology. Little talk about fact, every time we sent an astronaut to the space station after the Shuttle program was shut down, the Russian charged us 90 million per seat. Space X launches entire missions for 67 million a pop.

Has a problem with the richest man in the World saving the US Gov't Billions in waste and fraud yet had no problem with Dear Party wasting all that money enriching themselves in the process. Tell us again you are not retarded.
