Football Goddess was spot on with her assessment. Until Boone passes, Holder will be there. The reason we are able to compete in football is Boone's generosity. His gifts come with a price tag and that is someone running things according to his view of "stewardship." One of the key things Holder (and Hargis to some extent) does is manage the relationship with Boone. This is not easy and is a daily task. Holder is hard to deal with and is ALWAYS looking out for the bottom line. I'm sure Holder will want to retire after Boone passes, but until then he will, and should, remain AD. Very few people understand how difficult it is to manage Mr. Pickens.
