Hey if any good comes out of Trump's successful Whitehouse run, it's that he's significantly raised the bar on the shock level of what can be dug up from your past, yet not kill your chances at running for office.
I actually think that's a good thing in this age of every word lasts forever.

And nobody cares. Sad, but true. Democrats have played their identity politics hand to the point that everyone knows what to expect and nobody takes the bluffing boy crying wolf seriously outside of the echo chamber.
