By the same logic, Twitter and FB can't block those they disagree with.
I’d be more inclined to agree if it was an official White House account that was passed on from one administration to another.I'll sue!
I thought that decision sounded absurd, but if his twitter account is an official government account, I kind of get it. Official government accounts should let everyone speak their mind or nobody -- not pick and choose who gets to say what.
I'm not defending it, but using social media for official business kind of creates these issues. I mean... you can't have a government agency hosting public comments, and then deciding to only allow the comments that are acceptable to the government's agenda.
I’d be more inclined to agree if it was an official White House account that was passed on from one administration to another.
Maybe you can use all of that valuable Player Performance Specialist experience to convince him to.It was passed on @POTUS. Trump wouldn’t post on that account
If Trump is going to use his Twitter like a petulant child, he should expect petulant child responses in return. Blocking his critics on Twitter is a Level 99 pussyhat move. What a stupid ruling, IMO.
If it is as described by some here a well curated channel of communication (covefe and all) then yeah it is official communication.I’d be more inclined to agree if it was an official White House account that was passed on from one administration to another.
Gonna have to block you for a while now.If Trump is going to use his Twitter like a petulant child, he should expect petulant child responses in return. Blocking his critics on Twitter is a Level 99 pussyhat move.
Exactly my point. It was passed on @POTUS. Trump wouldn’t post on that account
Sorry man. It's no different than the crybabies at Berkley to me.Gonna have to block you for a while now.
They should if they use it for official government communication, the bag of dicks in Congress included.I’m just guessing every governmental employee with a twitter account has to follow the same rules?
It’s OK. I’ve unblocked you now. All good.Sorry man. It's no different than the crybabies at Berkley to me.
I'm starting therapy in 12 minutes. It’s OK. I’ve unblocked you now. All good.
Wouldn't be surprised, most here don't really understand it either.I bet that judge doesn’t understand how twitter works.
They should if they use it for official government communication, the bag of dicks in Congress included.
What makes something official?
Biff has a trumpet blare in the Rose Garden each time he hits "send."
Hell if I know. I'm not the judge in this thing. But Trump should still quit being a pussyhat about critics on his Twitter. What makes something official?
I mean by blocking someone you aren’t preventing them from being heard, you’re just not listening to anything they have to say. Can the courts tell me I’m violating someone’s first amendment rights if I refuse to listen to them?Wouldn't be surprised, most here don't really understand it either.
Hell if I know. I'm not the judge in this thing. But Trump should still quit being a pussyhat about critics on his Twitter.
Blocking his critics isn't letting shit slide. It makes him look like they easily get under his skin. I'd prefer he let them twit away and then ridicule the hell out of them Trump-style. He'd kill them by simply replying #winning to every tweet directed at him.I like the fact that he he's petty.
You want a dude whose not gonna let shit slide in charge.
Exactly, there is nothing official about a social media account. If that's the case, then EVERY media outlet is now official government business since they are the medium for the message.
This is idiotic on many levels.
Tweeting presidential policy, economy, war/peace, etc. makes it public record as it is clearly presidential communication archived.
If there were never anything “official” about a social media account, people wouldn’t lose their jobs for posting controversial things online...they do, all the time.
