I expect the President to react more civilly than a bear.

That's just me though.
This civility outrage is a bunch of bullshine.

The Dems are out there dropping F-Bombs like it's the words "and" or "the" crickets from libs and MSM. Donald Trump outs Mika's face lift and it's outrage city.

HYPOCRITES!!!!

Remember when they tried to insinuate an inappropriate relationship between President Trump and his daughter? I hope President Trump and the blogosphere keep hammering away at them. Kick 'em hard and don't let up.

Don't you think the POTUS should be held to a higher standard than "The Dems"?

Isn't what this is all about?

I respect it . He should be able to defend himself from these liberal bullies.
I do too. It would be nice if he could tend to the business of the Presidency in a statesmanlike manner. Unfortunately, the MSM decided once he won the nomination and especially after he won the election that they would have a scorched Earth policy towards Trump. Trump is not going to allow them to do that to him. He said if he was attacked he would give it back 10x. He is and they don't like it.

The media has a right to ask tough probing questions. The don't have a right to act in an uncivil juvenile repugnant manner. What they reap they sowed.

President Trump and the right-wing blogosphere media is stabbing at the heart of corporate media. This is not a phenomena where the mainstream media loses a million viewers over the course of twenty years. I have a hunch this is a phenomena where the mainstream media is losing tens of millions of viewers over about two years, and it is hitting them where it hurts -- in the pocketbook. President Trump knows his role in this and plays it very well.

I disagree that this was a smart or strategic tweet. I am fine with him giving the media hell or going after a smug liberal politician. But he needs to understand the media narrative and story time.

Today he should have been basking in the glow of the Project Veritas story. It had actually received front page coverage from the USA Today and even some MSM papers were picking it up. That story directly proved the fake news narrative and pointed a flashlight on CNN's anti-Trump. But Trump's tweeting took that off of the front-page.

Also, the Kate's Law House vote was a huge win for Trump. It is the kind of bill that even moderate Dems strongly agree. It is also the kind of law that can be used against congressmen that voted against it. But Trump's tweet pushed that huge victory to the back-burner.

His juvenile shit makes the Kenyan the adult in the room; one has to work hard to "f*ck up a rock fight", but he wins.....sickening.

You trying to paint my very calm, rational, and measured statement as "outrage" is what is actually a bunch of BS.

I haven't read the whole thread, but I had to reply after reading about the first 10 posts or so.

The crazy thing about all of this is the MSNBC is getting exactly what it wants: people to turn to their channel.

I'll repeat this again: the main axiom in the media is that bad news is good news (for the media). In this case, the more attention MSNBC brings to itself, the more people who will turn their TV to watch. Headhunter is a perfect example of their type of viewer. Heck, I turn to the channel a lot just to hear them spew. It's all about how many people they can get to turn their channel on.

In a way, ironically, it's like football conference realignment. It's all about choosing the schools that pull in the most people watching, not necessarily the best teams.

The media continually pushes thing on Baby Trump that is almost always blowing up in their face .. Why don't they stop and let him hang himself .. I think he will if they aren't pouring gas on the fire all the time. It's like they do not realize his being elected was partly their fault because of how they covered him and continue to cover him.

These people get it.

PAUL RYAN: Obviously I don't see that as an appropriate comment. I think - look; what we're trying to do around here is improve the tone and the civility of the debates. And this obviously doesn't help do that.

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, a Republican who could be a key vote on the health care bill, tweeted back at the president, saying stop it; the presidential platform should be used for more than bringing people down. She also asked @POTUS, do you want to be remembered for your tweets or your accomplishments? All of the president's tweets will be saved in the National Archives.

NANCY PELOSI: It's really sad, though. It's the president of the United States.

"Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America," Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina tweeted.

Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska tweeted: "Please just stop. This isn't normal and it's beneath the dignity of your office."

"This has to stop – we all have a job – 3 branches of gov't and media," Sen. Susan Collins of Maine tweeted. "We don't have to get along, but we must show respect and civility."

Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma echoed his colleagues with his own scathing statement: "National and local leaders, including our president, should model civility, honor, and respect in our political rhetoric. The president's tweets today don't help our political or national discourse and do not provide a positive role model for our national dialogue."

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina said Americans needed senators to be focused on healthcare and tax reform, "not Twitter fights and cable news."

Rep. Lynne Jenkins of Kansas said Trump's tweet was "not okay." "As a female in politics I am often criticized for my looks," she said. "We should be working to empower women."

Jeb Bush, Trump's former opponent for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination and President George W. Bush's brother, tweeted"Inappropriate. Undignified. Unpresidential." in response to Trump's tweet.

Trump is wrong but this is incorrect as well. Love him or hate him... Trump is NO DIFFERENT than he was 2 years ago. That's garbage, Mr. Scarborough.

Trump taking the arrows.

GOP is in a protected position right now. But they better produce some legislation.

Are Dems on the offensive any more?
Who is left playing offense? Deep state? Media?
Does only the active swamp remain on offense?

Is the POTUS to be held to higher standard than Kamala Harris or Kristen Gillibrand, United States Senator's, they're the ones dropping F-Bombs at public speaking events.

He said Mika was bleeding from a facelift, oh my God! The horror! They're using profane language that can be heard by anyone including children.

Where's the moral outrage from the press, liberals like you. HYPOCRITES!
