Is our relationship really at an all-time low? POTUS was alive for the cold war and Bay of Pigs. Was he in a cave? Does he really think things are worse now?

Also, is it really Congress' fault? Maybe some of the blame should fall at Putin's feet.

Russian leadership now were deeply a part of USSR leadership then. Russian leadership routinely promotes Soviet style hegemony over the region as a return to the greatest of Russia. They are completely interchangeable, but they also aren't completely separate and distinct either.

Please explain why Trump can't risk standing up to Putin. Trump has climbed in bed with the Neocons, who seem hell bent on having a nuclear war with Russia. It strikes me that Trump wants to have better relations with Russia, but everyone from the Democrats, the MSM, establishment Republicans are determined to undermine him in that regard, and he has been boxed into a corner. Is that what you mean by saying he can't risk standing up to Putin?

Russia helped get him elected. Why him?

Biff said he'd release his taxes, but will not.

He has done a lot of financial deals with Russians. (Why nobody here will loan him $ is another issue for another thread.)

He has tried to obstruct the investigation by firing Comey and pressuring Sessions to frustrate an independent investigation. He acts guilty as hell.

Trump Jr. took a meeting - in writing - with the sole agenda item (in writing at least) to get dirt on HRC from the Russian government. WTF else does it take? "Threadbare circumstantial evidence???"

Last summer intelligence agencies were screaming that the Russians were interfering with the election.

Trump lies about everything, all the time. He has no moral compass. He literally would not find anything wrong with colluding with a foreign power if it helped him.

Trump will criticize anyone at any time. Chinese? Yep. Mexico? Yeah. Republicans? Democrats? Yep. McCain? Yep. Putin? Nope.

Trump's two closest advisers Manaforte and Flynn were up to their chins in Russian money and lied about it.

Maybe just let Mueller do his job?
