"sources say". Personally, I'm not listening to any media reports about Trump's picks. The media will inentionally float 'bad' picks to try to deflate MAGA. According to the media, he tabbed Massie to run the dept of ag within minutes of bein elected, and we are still waiting for Trump to confirm that pick. Same with the Rubio pick.
Having said that, when we get into picks that require Senate approval, like Sec of State and DHS, we may see some 'weaker' picks just because the fireball picks won't get confirmed. Trump will have a hellacious battle on his hands to get his Attorney General pick in, for instance, and I suspect he's busy finding out which candidates would get approved now with Senators.
If that were true, Trump would have already announced his support for Rick Scott as Sen Maj leader.
He hasn't cause he doesn't yet have the votes for it.

Trump's AG pick will be most interesting to me. That will tell us if Trump is going after the Democrats full bore. I'm torn on this. Democrats have said repeatedly no one is above the law. Let's see how they feel when they are the target.
Why not Ted Cruz for AG, then "promote" him to the Supreme Court in 2027 or early 2028.
Trump is loading up on outsiders. And it's obvious he plans on getting most of this shit fixed by the 2026 midterms.
