Every time there's any movement on the Russia investigation, talk of Trump's impeachment comes up. So I have a question for the left leaning on this board? Why do you want Trump impeached? Its not like he'll be replaced by Hillary. You'll get Pence as president. By all accounts Pence is much further right than Trump in just about every position. Pence certainly isn't going to offer 1.8M illegal immigrants sanctuary AND a path to citizenship like Trump did. He's not going to make any real adjustment to gun laws like Trump is talking about. He's still going to push for immigration restrictions. He's still gonna push for Obamacare elimination. Why would the left push for the elimination of a fairly moderate Republican in order to promote a true Christian Conservative? Maybe I'm just missing something and need enlightenment, but I'm truly curious what the end-game is in regards to impeaching Trump.

I am wondering if Trump's recent lean to the left isn't just an attempt to assuage some of the anger that is coming his way in the form of the Fall election cycle. Anger helps get people to the polls. IF he can do some things to lower the anger, maybe he lowers the number of Dems that come out to vote against Republicans.
