It was democrats in the Senate who filibustered the CRA of 1964.
And conservatives like Goldwater voted against it, as well. I'm not talking about party lines, here. I'm talking about personal beliefs on conservatism vs liberalism in America. That's why I'm asking HSH if social conservatives (just in their individual, human, personal opinion) were right to resist the abolition of slavery, women's suffrage and the CRA on the basis of resisting change, in general.
I think political parties in general are designed to divide people and keep power at the top and away from the citizen. So, I think both of them suck and I don't align myself with either. I'm not sys or CUP here. I don't give a damn about the Democratic party or the GOP for that matter.
