Its weird, but when Dorian first became a hurricane, the local projections (I live in Tampa) was that it would cut straight across the peninsula of Florida then turn right and go up into Mississippi and Alabama coasts. I know his Bama comment came after the path had been updated a few days later, but today's media statements that Alabama was never threatened are blatantly false.
