I don't get it. We don't want a wall to stop them from coming as its a 'medieval' solution and there are better methods of catching/stopping crossers. But all of those alternates require increased manpower and funding for DHS to enact, yet the same individuals against the cheap/medieval solution, also don't want to authorize spending for more judges, beds, and other amenities to process the immigrants and allow the true asylum cases in while 'hopefully' keeping the riff-raff (think MS13) out. I would love to actually hear what anyone on the left here thinks is an acceptable solution for the immigration issue? Frankly, Dems sound a LOT like Republicans arguing against ObamaCare on this issue to me. Whining about what's being done but offering jack diddly shit in real alternatives.

I actually agree with your recommendation to legalize drugs as it would hammer the cartels and bring 'black market' money into the light for taxation, but I don't see how that stops or even slows down the 5K people per day that are crossing the border. Nor does it solve the "concentration camp" and child separation issues that we are enforcing against our brown neighbors.

Noone asks AOC, what is her solution to the concentration camp issue or why the Dem's refuse to fund ICE and DHS to support more 'humane' actions. Like I said above, FoxNews never asked any of the Repubs what replacing ObamaCare actually looked like. They just pushed the message that the R's were gonna do it. The Left media is doing the same thing here. They are happy to snap pictures and talk about why this must be Trump's fault, but refuse to actually ask (or publish) what the alternative is. And thus just like R's won with a "repeal and replace (with nothing)" plan, the Dems are winning with a "OMG the children (that we don't care about or have our own plan for)".

For the record, they get all of that, and saying otherwise is a BS narrative (and you know it). They have sanitary facilities (as much as possible given the overcrowded and underfunded conditions) which are nicer than what thousands of our own homeless in San Fran and other cities live in. They get healthcare, food, and supervision. Now supervision doesn't mean 24 hour babysitting for each child in order to wipe every nose and console every cry, which seems to be what this article expects.
Edit: By the way, if you want your kid to have a toothbrush, maybe you should have brought in on the journey.
