Tikka .243

Just got a great deal on a Tikka T3 Hunter in a 243. I bought it for a spare scoped rifle for friends/family to shoot until my son gets old enough (in 10 years or so!)

I know Jeff shoots a Tikka, but does anyone have an opinion on what ammo it likes?

Also looking for a scope too if any one had one for sale.

my T3 in 25-06 likes Federal Premium 115 gr and Hornady SST 117's.

Natchez has a great deal on Nitrex Scopes. The Nitrex TR1 is the same scope as a Weaver Grand Slam, and the Nitrex TR2 is the same scope as a Weaver Super Slam. They are on clearance plus a mail in rebate. From what I've read the scopes are great for the price.

I'll check that out Bob, thanks. I've been looking at the Nikon Prostaff pretty hard. Everywhere they are available online they sell a bunch and they get a the highest rating. For $150 give or take, it looks like a great youth/spare scope.
