Take away the divisive politicians and activist and there wouldn't be the divisive problems we have today. 80% of the people get along with each other regardless of whatever identity they have, the other 20% are useless trash and should be ignored.

Unfortunately its the left half of the 20% you refer to that isn't being ignored, but instead is in power and dictating to the other 90%. The other 40% that agrees with them accept it, and now the 10% on the other side that should also be ignored has gathered the support and backing of the other 40% who feel they got trampled on by the 10% on the far side.
