The U.S. Role in creating ISIS

That is an interesting read. You can put a lot of blame on the past mistakes of Bush but if you think it lets Obama off the hook you've failed.

It doesn't let Obama off the hook for his totally failed effort. We could of taken out their oil infrastructure over a year ago but the ridiculous rules of engagement prevented us from bombing them until yesterday and we only did that because the French and Russians were making Obama look like a fool.

The French and Russians have done more damage in two days than two years of Obama's feckless bombing policies.

Maybe I mis-interpreted. Didn't really mean to come of overly critical. I was just pointing out there is a lot of fail with Obama.

As far as Bush goes I'm not a big fan, but feel he's yesterday's news.

He's never yesterday's news when "putz & co" need a straw man to divert attention from their massive incompetence and failed policies.

You're completely out of line throwing me in with any such company. This article lines up with exactly what we used to receive in S2 briefings. Any soldier with half a brain that paid attention started to see what a mess up disbanding the Iraqi army really was. Especially once MG Batiste went public with his disdain over the decision and 1+1 became readily evident.

The blame game is counterproductive. But, just because the Bush era mistakes happened years ago doesn't mean that they can't be learned from.

Creating something is not near as bad as supplying the incubator for it to grow and the indifference (I'll even say hubris) to not acknowledge it's potency and threat.
The putz in chief and his sychphantic enablers and supporters are clueless freakin bums. Whatever GWB did or didn't do, there has been plenty of times to nip this "JV" show in the bud, but nooooo not this moron president he just lolly gags along believing everyone loves him and makes love to their face in the mirror....like he does. Can't wait until he is a footnote in all but the most blind loyalists minds.

You are exactly right. The key thing here is to determine which president did the worst job. Once we can decisively agree on whether incubation or creation is worse then those terrorist won't stand a chance.
