The problem for most on the left, Trump isn't a politician.

President Trump isn't an establishment politician. The old radical playbook won't work on him because he isn't afraid to punch back harder than he gets hit. This is something Obama and the leftists didn't plan on.

Bannon has read the left's playbook and he has expanded it to advance the causes he and the Trump care about. They go low, Trump and team will go lower. They know there is an endless supply of dirty tricks and out right mis-conduct they can bring out.

Just like in the in the campaign they will do anything to bring Trump down and it will be just as ineffective because he's not afraid of them. That has always been their advantage.

Truth. Still, it's fun watching the Muslim try and use his Banana Republic tricks. Funny, and quaint.

Defeating people who believe the ends justify the means is very challenging.

Because 'the right' tends to believe in core principles, it's harder to get nasty and fight fire with fire.

That's why so many GOP have been cuckservatives who cower at typical leftist tactics -- usually enforced by media shaming.

It's also why the left is so mortified by Trump (and Bannon) -- their tactics don't work against them.

I think this sums it up perfectly.

The pamphlet pushing Muslim is going to have to bring a hell of a lot more than this to hurt Trump. It was a quaint effort, though.

Would you agree that this is a relatively new phenomenon?

Not speaking for JD, but think about it in a personal sense: I'll bet most of us have been in personal "pissing contests" at least once in our lives. This is just on a larger scale.
