Even though it is considered one of the worst academic scandals, the NCAA says it can't punish North Carolina. This is reminiscent of the Cam Newton pay-for-play at Auburn when the NCAA said it wasn't a violation because the father did the negotiating. Not to mention reducing the punishment at Penn State for the horrific abuse of children by Sandusky. The only schools that get punished are those that don't contribute in a meaningful way to the coffers of the greedy bastards.
