Dang I miss Bobo's.

PS. The Mexican food in Stillwater is terrible now.

Let's discuss other good Mexican food.

I love Sadies in Albuquerque. Carne Adovada is one of the best things I've ever eaten.

You need to hit up Tomasita's in downtown Santa Fe, so good!!!

I haven't had any Mexican food worth a damn in Denver.

Been there. Like it a lot.

I agree on Denver. A few decent though. If you haven't, try Las Margs, D'Corazon and Adelita's. Heard good things about la loma but haven't been.

If you ever heard down to Pueblo, drop into Coor's tavern and get a slopper

Thanks for the recommendations. We will have to check those out. Next time you head through Clayton, NM stop at the burrito wagon caddy corner from the Dairy Queen (across from Hi-Ho) and get a smothered breakfast burrito. Their red and green are awesome.

The old owner of bobos just died recently but his cooking lives on. He and his wife (not the same one from the bobo's days I don't think) sold certain dishes out of their house in Perkins. I still see the advertisements in the perkins paper so I guess she is still open. It's only carry out. I haven't tried it because they are only open certain days and times and I dont have enough short term memory to remember when.

Since my dad sold his cabin in red river, I don't know when I might be in Clayton again. I am putting this in my notepad of "if you're ever here, eat there" places.

I had him as a cardiac rehab patient at the Colvin center, in the early 80s. Interesting guy. His wife was Senaida (probably butchered that spelling). She was a pistol.

There was a place in Denver that was on man versus food because they had like 20 lbs burrito or something dumb. I didn't order that but what I had was good. Jack n grill is the name.

My wife loved rio grande in Fort Collins. I think there is at least one in Denver. Somewhere south part of the tech center.

What's up with the price of OKC Tex mex pricing? $12 + for 2 cheese enchiladas dinner.

I ate at a place in Sanger TX for $7-8 for basically the same thing.

Sadies is the bomb! Most of their food trends toward being pretty hot though. I used to also like Charlie's Back Door in Albuquerque too, but I understand it is now closed.

Frank and Lupe's Od Mexico - Scottsdale.

Tamayo in Larimer Square in Denver is a good Mexican reastaurant, a little upscale, and more coastal in cuisine, but good. Illegal Pete's on lower 16th near LoDo makes about the best burrito I've had.

Union Station in New Braunfels makes great migas.

Sadies is indeed spicy. When we lived in Albuquerque, we initially didn't like the Mexican food. It's just so different from what you find in oklahoma/texas. Came to love it though. Carne adovada is something you just don't see anywhere else. El Modelo is another great place to try there. There isn't any inside seating, so you either have to carry out or sit on a park bench in their courtyard. Heuvos rancheros is enough to feed 3 people.

Man I always loved El Vaq in Stillwater. Miss it sometimes. Only one good Mexican spot where I live now.

Don't get me started on the green chile. There's a chain in New Mexico called Blake's Lottaburger. It's fast food, but I miss their green chile cheeseburgers so much.

When seabolt isn't being stingy, he's been known to add grilled green chile to his fried onion burgers.

Miss blakes. We get hatch on sonic here though. Love it. We grew up on New Mexico style so Tex mex was the acquired taste for us. NM style is the best

I'll stay with the theme of not talking about good Mexican food within driving distance. Smh

El Fogon, Playa
Pacos Tacos, Puerto Aventeras

Pete Kitchen on Colfax. Get the breakfast burrito with green chile. Bring an extra pair of shorts just in case because it will be a race to get home.

Ok, so I was in Lubbock today. I totally forgot about Taco Villa. That place is damn good fast food Tex mex.

Original Abuelos is in Lubbock. That being said ... pretty terrible Mexican food in that town. Sand aggies are very partial to taco villa though.
