Grandson is spending nights in his $1500 a night dump DC hotel. The RNC is picking up the tab. The nice DC hotels are commanding $4000 per night with a 4 night minimum.

Grandson is overseeing 7 teams in planning the Inauguration. He's hoping for the best ever. Any of you who watch please give me a grade.

A celebrity is supposed to sing. No one seems to know political leanings of ths very attractive celebrity.

With free tickets provided by grandson, his parents aren't about to lay down a mint for even a 4 night stay in a dump hotel.

Shortly after the inauguration, grandson and the RNC are to begin contract talks. Son-in-law tells me grandson isn't so sure he wants to continue on. Grandson has been a part of the RNC since graduating TCU with a degree in Political Science.

The whole inauguration thing wears me slick. Biggest waste of time and money there is. Trump should of done a little swearing in ceremony at the White House and sent that money to the hurricane victims or some other needy group.

Surely you are kidding, right? There is no way he's going to avoid being celebrated, his huge ego will not allow it.

Probably would be illegal to do that. You want them to Impeach him again? 🤣

This not even close to true. Go to Orbitz right now and put in Jan 17 - Jan 21. There are hundreds of rooms available in DC. You could stay in Tysons, VA and take a 30 minute metro in. Hotels are under $200 a night there. But to say hotels are $4000 a night is just not true.

Wow! You're right. When grandson first got inauguration tickets he couldn't give them away. Still can't. Grandson's parents checked on hotel stays. No way they would spend the kind of money they were quoted. It may be hoteliers thought too highly of the publics interest in our new president elect.

Grandson's hotel room was booked a while back.

You got a problem paying the tab?

This is true. I was merely providing a lost cost alternative. The rest of your information is not true at all. The hotels in DC proper are expensive but they are no where near $4000 a night. They are not even near $1500 a night. What is the 'dump' hotel he is staying in? Either way you should come the weather is supposed to be fabulous.

Thanks for the "orbits". I'll be sure to keep that in mind. 👍

When grandson offered free inauguration tickets just after the election, no one accepted. No one. His parents and friends ALL sited outrageous hotel costs. Not a single grandson offer was ever accepted. Obviously a "what the market will bear scenario" emerged. Grandson offered me no tickets. He knows me pretty well.

Anyone who's slept through a course in Arithmetic should catch on. The majority of the board's members gets it.

So you were lied to. You believed it and didn't do research for yourself. BTW you didn't reveal the 'dump' hotel he is staying in.

So a coupe of the very finest hotels in DC are charging for packages for the elite who could care less how much things cost. Yet there are hundreds if not thousands of hotel rooms available for reasonable prices for a major event and the OP says hotels are $4000 a night.

What is the 'dump' hotel?

While I'm not all that familiar with the hotels in DC I can say from our trips there I wasn't impressed with the lodging available without breaking thee bank.

As the board's majority well knows, it is not uncommon for hotels to set rates for an event. It is also common for hotels to adjust rates up or down when hotels get a measure of public interest. Anyone who's slept through a course in Arithmetic knows this. Just after the election and grandson's offer for free inauguration tickets daughter and son-in-law's research found DC hotels rates well out of their range.

There is nothing hard here. 2012Bearcat and the board's majority gets it.

I'll add: Grandson has a hotel room because: He lives in an "effiecientcy apt." A living room, one bedroom, one bath and kitchenette. DC is very high cost of living. Not suitable for entertaining. AOC lives in his apt building. Sometimes grandson walks to work 2 blocks with AOC who's office is in the same building as grandson office.

As we can all attest to when attending a OSU football game. Back when my son was playing the rates at the hotels almost doubled and had a two night minimum. We resorted to staying at the Holiday Inn in Guthrie just out of principle.

Grandson is spending nights in his $1500 a night dump DC hotel. The RNC is picking up the tab.

So the Grandson is not staying in the dump $1500 a night hotel which you referred to in the first post which you will not name? Is there anything true at all in your first post?

Not at all. I made a new years resolution to try to call out blatant misinformation (which this is). I usually do not comment on-line or in person but have decided to step out of my comfort zone a bit at times. The OP will not name the 'dump' hotel. There are very few 'dump' hotels in DC. The land is just too valuable to run a 'dump' hotel. I would be shocked if the RNC staffers were made to stay in a 'dump' hotel but we will never really know unless the OP reveals the 'dump' hotel name.

I have no idea what DC hotel grandson is staying in till the inauguration is over nor do I care. His mother told me it is lower end. He had to get a hotel room because he is doing much entertaining. I have no idea why I'm wasting time enlightning you. I think you're proving you don't have much of an idea how hotel rentals and current events work.

Quite the opposite, you have no idea but you freely spout off the price. We'll just leave it at that.

His nuts just dropped.

Yeah the "Special Event" rates in Norman are ridiculous. Stopped going to games because of it, that and they pack you in like sardines. Get a couple of lard asses on your row and you get there a little late you are screwed. If your ass takes up 3 spots on a row stay your fat ass at home. 😁

Spurs did this very same thing at the AT&T center, now the Frost center. Give up my season tickets 20 years ago. I had the heavies north, south, east and west of my seats. Hard to breathe. Every spur shot made seemed an earthquake. Very uncomfortable smellin the heifers body odor and hygiene products they bathe in

Read carefully: Sunny said NICE DC HOTELS are commanding high prices. He didn't say they all were.

Looks like you owe Sunny an apology.

No, he said NICE DC hotels. Not all. Please pay more attention.

Wild guess, you voted for Kamala, didn't you?

So you were lied to. Enjoy the inauguration.

In my 60 question Mensa exercise I answered these questions correctly.

1. Name two coins that make 55 cents. One is not a nickel.
2. There are seven months with 31 days. Name a month with 28 days. Tulsaaggieson has answered correctly on these pages.
3. Ramone's electricity went off in a thunderstorm. In Ramone's sock drawer are 5 orange socks and 5 black socks. How many socks must Ramone pull from his sock drawer and feel his way out to his lightening lit driveway to ensure he has a matched pair? soonerInlOUisiana answered this question correctly at the old SoonerSpinZone in under 3 minutes.

It's my conjecture GhostOfMatchesMalone would abuse his opponent taking my 60 question Mensa exercise.
