The Faith teaches you to convert them if you can, but disassociate from them if they do not. Thus boycotts are completely permissible, even necessary.

If I was the Dodgers I would be concerned from a liability point of view of this inciting violence, especially if it is literally on their stadium or team property. I hope that does not happen, but I could see it happening. Not certain I would sponsor something that could result in civilians being injured and knowing this issue is at the forefront of the culture wars, are you inviting physical conflict? The Dodgers cancelled it, and then reversed themselves. Someone ends up seriously injured or dead the fact they were concerned enough about the push back to cancel it once does not put them in a good position IMO.

I am sick to death of these posts that are such whataboutism and straw man arguments.
1) The Catholic Church is the spotless and only bride of Christ. Started by Christ himself in 33 ad.
2) It is a Church that while is the spotless bride of Christ, is made up of men. One Billion humans or so. Men are sinful. Sin happens. ALL kinds of sin. Even among the hierarchy. Why is that surprising? Of course Satan will attack his main enemy.
3) That being said, every major church has had child abuse/sex scandals. Every single denomination.
4) No evidence exists that sex crime is any worse with the Catholic Church than say, the Baptists. But the Catholic Church gets the headlines while the Baptists are but a tiny sect that exists mainly in America while the Catholic Church exists everywhere.
5) That being said, no, your children are not safer in secular schools/organizations than church. Secular groups also have a child abuse problem. It's everywhere. It only makes headlines when it is Catholic, for obvious reasons.
