With all the negativity on these boards, our shitty government, the upheaval everywhere, I would just like to point out that we still have the greatest country anywhere. I've traveled around some, and at the end of the day America is awesome. In the interest of having something positive for a change, I will start a list about great stuff American has that other countries don't.
1. Cheap gas.
2. Big, wide open highways with vistas.
3. All the topography. Mountains? Got it. Beaches your thing? Boy have we got those. Desert? Get stranded and you'll be dead before nightfall.
4. Yoga pants as a female fashion trend.
5. Opportunity.
6. Legalized marijuana
7. You can shoot whatever gun you want
8. If a big, bad, rich business screws you, then you can sue their ass and get a jury of fellow citizens to decide how it's handled.
9. Bass and crappie fishing.
10. Great, cheap, meat. (Nobody serves a steak from a freakin' dairy cow over here.)
