on this past season. I moved to Stillwater 8 years ago and told my wife that besides continuing going to football games, I could not wait to go to every wrestling match again. Wrestling wasn't very good back in 2008-10 and I wondered if my memories of Cowboy wrestling were overblown or if the program had fallen so much since I was a student.
I can say with full confidence that Cowboy wrestling in 2016 is what I remember back in the good old 1970s days. We didn't win it all this year but we showed up with a patched up team and they knew we were NYC before we left town. I enjoyed this team as they followed the examples of the Ringer and Bean to give great effort in every match and tried to turn their opponent onto their back when they could. I enjoy great effort and bulldog tenacity and this team displayed it.
With the young talent on our campus, I can't wait for next year to get here. We will be an underdog to psu and tosu but I will not be surprised if we find a way to pull it out next year.
