trump exempts phones and chips from tariffs, lets small businesses deal with them but lets the Silicon Valley overlords get him to bend the knee. Peter Thiel wins again. This admin is so retarded

You are so wrong! Trump defends the little guy and hates the elitist billionaires. Ask any MAGA, they’ll tell you how much he loves them.

Says the T.D.S., antisemite leftist who has embarrassed himself more than anybody here.
I’m not a leftist and not an anti-Semite, although it’s easy to understand why you want to hurl those invectives at me since you’re flustered and can’t think of a better response than ad hominem. But I do have a raging case of TDS, provided by TDS you mean Tariff Derangement Syndrome.

Okay, guys, I’ve stirred you up enough for one day. I leave you to lick your wounds and cover your scars with makeup so you can continue to present yourselves to the world as MAGA winners. So much MAGA winning!

Attention in the airport terminal. Dan has an announcement to make about his departure.
Sorry to come back, but I do want to say I know how humiliating it is to realize how badly you’ve been conned by someone you had faith in and believed what they were saying. In 2020 I thought I had finally found a politician who believed what she was saying. I honestly thought Tulsi Gabbard was a principled politician when she took issue with Hillary Clinton *and* Donald Trump, and said everything an anti-war person like myself wanted to hear. I believed her to my core. I did not understand her anti-war rhetoric was just her trying out a persona to see how far it would get her. Imagine my shock and disappointment when I learned it was just a ruse, that she’s like every other politician whose only principle is attainment of power. In fact you could say I got double-whammied by Bobby Kennedy, Jr., although he showed his true colors much quicker than Tulsi. So for what it’s worth take it from me I know how you’re feeling to realize for the first time Donald Trump is a sleaze bag just like the rest of them. Okay, now I’m done for the day. I’ll come back tomorrow to heap more ridicule on MAGA.

What’s with all the posts that don’t really convey a cogent thought? Maybe try posting at at least a high school level for once?

Hey, marone, ad hominem does not apply when the facts & sources are true. Busted!

Another one bites the dust, just more losing by Dan. You've been wrong for so long you cannot fathom what winning is or feels like.

This Christmas would be fun for children since most of the toys come from China. It will be more fun for the parents who have to buy those toys.
But by then the govt may change it's mind about tariffs

Oh knows, no toys for Christmas. How will our children ever survive?

Why don't you and the family try out Bejing this year & avoid those pesky tariffs. Please do not come to the USA, ever.

Why are all the toys from China? Oh yea, because slave labor economics makes it cheaper to make them there and import them, so a company only has to pay its C-Suite and not the actual workers. Seems like wonderful companies that we should be supporting. LOL.

CNBC said the average worker on the IPHONE makes $3/hr.

The biggest irony is that those who are complaining the most about tarriffs are also the first people in line complaining that our minimum wage isn't enough. If you want a higher minimum wage, you better be pushing for tariffs high enough to support them, or every manufacturer, and not just toys and electronics, will eventually relocate to cheaper labor pools.

You didn't happen to live in Sudan back in 2006 did you?

"In a widely publicized case in 2006, a South Sudanese man, Ali Abedi, was "forced" to "marry" a goat after being caught engaging in sexual activity with it. The goat, named "Rose," was the property of another man, (hamasdan?) who then consulted with village elders. The elders decided that Abedi should pay a dowry and the cost of the goat, effectively making him marry it. This event highlights a specific instance of a "goat marriage" in the context of a customary law practice in South Sudan."

Home Depot LEDs are a ripoff. The warranty is bogus (Customer Service manager gave me a death ray stare when I asked about it) and they never last more than 18mo.

You get what you pay for.
I've never had a Phillips LED bulb fail. I believe Phillips are made in China. Sylvania are US made.

I only use Home Depot LEDs in daughter's rentals.

The whole LED bulb thing is a scam in my opinion. Sure, they save a lot of energy with their low current draw, but the drivers inside - that light up the individual LEDs are horrible, regardless of brand. That's my personal experience. I suspect the cost of throwing away a one year old LED bulb is higher than just lighting up an old long-lasting incandescent bulb.

One time I purchased Creed brand, assembled in the USA. Worst bulbs I ever purchased. Didn't last long. I agree that Phillips last longer, but I've had them go out too.

I'm a big fan of GE's Outdoor Motion Lights. I have many outdoors around the house. Sure, they aren't lit up all the time so their life is longer, but they keep the bugs and spiders down around the house, and trigger my security cameras with night vision IR turned off. I'll get just a handful of video recordings at night vs. the hundreds of recordings I used to get using IR night vision.
