I have baby attorneys as assistant counsel learning at my feet in the hopes of one day becoming a lawyer, stab me in the back, and take my place.
Honestly...based on sys's definition, I'm basically 80/20 lawyer to attorney....I do go to a boatload of meetings, but most of them are pretty damned adversarial in nature.

Not my choice. New political appointee to head of my agency decided to bring in his District Attorney buddy that announced he wasn’t running for re-election about the same time of the change in leadership at my agency.
It is what it is when it comes to politics.
But still...yeah...still congratulations. Gonna use some savings/earnings generated by state deferred comp program to get debt free, new pay is about the same, and I’m looking forward to letting loose the dogs of war and wreaking havoc.
Don’t go getting a big ole head after I say the following but you are going to make one heck of a prosecutor. Without understanding the width and depth of your OSBI position, you now have the opportunity to make a big difference, to the guilty and not guilty.
Not my days of being an “attorney” are done....I’m all about being handed the file in the morning and trying the case in the afternoon now.
