State of Iowa Drops Charges (ISU)

The state of Iowa dropped the charges against the Iowa State athletes for the gambling probe. I wonder if dropped charges for the Iowa athletes is to follow? If charges are dropped, what does it mean for the athletes that were affected by these charges? Are they allowed to wrestle immediately after missing pretty much the entire season? Does the NCAA give them another year of eligibility? Or does the NCAA hold up the suspensions due to their own rules?

The cases are separate. They will file lawsuits no doubt against the state . The Universities self report incidents so basically they told on themselves. The NCAA didn't use the charges to suspend them. I don't expect the NCAA to lessen suspensions.
