Space X to the rescue!

Biden didn't give a rip.

Space X rocket has docked with the Space Station to rescue our astronauts.
Watched the story this morning on channel 6 tulsa and not one freakin time did they mention Musk or Space X. One would have thought it was all NASA. Channel 6 has turned into such a craphole station now, thankfully Alan C does the weather in the morning or I wouldn't even watch those dolts.

heard the former astronaut Kelly from Arizona on Fox while it was landing in the ocean. He's a bitter little #uck. Said there was always a ship there on the ISS ready to bring those astronauts home so there was no political reason. He's full of crap. Yes, there is a soyuz ship there for an emergency return but it was not ready or even close to being used and wouldn't have been any safer than Boeing bringing them back. Then another scientist being interviewed, former astronaut I think, said the Dragon was the best ship to ever fly in space or something like that. Kelly was quick to pipe in that it wasn't.
I've lost the low level of respect I had for that moron....he's nothing but an idiot. We need to deport his ass as well.

Retards cannot be fixed.

Bearcat,
Do you have receipts on the 1/3 numbers ? (I’m attempting to convince my 88 y/o FDR dimm Dad that todays dimm nut job party is dangerous
Thanks

The savings is better than 1/3, better to be extremely conservative. Simply Google "Space X saves the government 1/3".
Here is the AI result from Google no less. For some reason it will not let me post Google's AI result.

Yes, SpaceX's reusable rockets and cost-effective approach to space launches, particularly for government contracts, have resulted in significant cost savings for taxpayers, with estimates suggesting billions saved.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Cost Savings:
SpaceX, through its Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets and the development of the Starship reusable mega-rocket, has demonstrated that it can launch government satellites at a lower cost than traditional space companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.

  • Reusability:
The ability to reuse rocket boosters, a key feature of SpaceX's Falcon 9, dramatically reduces the cost per launch compared to expendable rockets.

  • Competition:
SpaceX's entry into the space launch market has created competition, which has led to lower prices for government contracts.

  • Examples:
    • SpaceX has launched government satellites at significant discounts.

    • The Falcon Heavy rocket and the Starship reusable megarocket are examples of SpaceX's innovative and cost-effective approaches.

    • A lunar lander, developed by SpaceX, is another example of cost-effective space technology.
  • Estimates:
    • Some estimates suggest that SpaceX has saved taxpayers $40 billion in launch costs.

    • NASA estimates that the old approach to building a Falcon 9 analog would have cost $1.7-4 billion, while SpaceX's fixed contracts only provide $4.6 billion for building redundant manned spacecraft.
  • Government Contracts:
SpaceX has received billions of dollars in government contracts, including those from NASA and the US Air Force.
