Said there was always a ship there on the ISS ready to bring those astronauts home so there was no political reason. He's full of crap. Yes, there is a soyuz ship there for an emergency return but it was not ready or even close to being used and wouldn't have been any safer than Boeing bringing them back. Then another scientist being interviewed, former astronaut I think, said the Dragon was the best ship to ever fly in space or something like that. Kelly was quick to pipe in that it wasn't.

I'm a big supporter of NASA but it's another government agency that is full of waste and abuse if not fraud. Space X launches rocket that cost at the bare minimum 1/3 less than NASA could hope to.
